Low Ratings, but really, the storyline is perfect the way it is. The movie tidies up all the loose ends, and the comic book fills in the gaps.

If you did not know about the comic book, or the movie, go watch them/read them...

    now.

Because when FOX has a decent show they make sure to first switch the time slots around constantly before dumping it on Friday nights where they cancel it almost immediately.

    Wonderfalls
    Arrested Development
    Firefly
    Andy Richter Control's the Universe
    Tru Calling

    What am I forgetting??

    Ha!

I really liked that show but it was kind of a guilty pleasure I guess. I have a mancrush on Eliza Dushku and her boobies

Yes, I seem to remember she always had to run around the city for maximum jiggle. Couldn't she get a car?

Salah, I have the same Eliza crush.

I wanted to like Tru Calling but don't remember watching it much. It must have been on an inconvenient night or something? I've been tivoing Dollhouse but it's just not very good so far.

She's a strong independent female. I don't know what it was about Tru Calling that I enjoyed so much. She's great, the plot was interesting, the aforementioned jiggling plus her low cut lab outfits.

I hear Dollhouse is great but ive never seen it. Its like FOX doesnt even care, Imean they immediately put on Friday nights

I LOVED that show. My wife got me the full season on DVD last Christmas. The premise for that show was great.

I was planning on going into forensics so I wanted to appreciate the premise of the show, but it wasn't really that great... it wasn't terrible though from what I remember. Dollhouse on the other hand... if it were anyone but Eliza I would have given up after the first episode.

And if we're talking about females in Firefly, then Kaylee did it for me.

The line she had with the Doc in the movie when he tells her he didn't get a chance to live for himself, to do the things HE wanted to do, and she says, "you mean....sex? Hell with this....I'M GONNA LIVE!"

The sexual innuendo in that show was at a pretty high level, but they didn't overdo it quite as much as Buffy or Charmed.

To derail the thread once again, Eliza Dushku's legs in that little white dress in the first 20 minutes of the first dollhouse show are quite fantastic...

salah, you are totally right about fox fucking with the times just to screw with the show...

so many examples of fox fucking up a perfectly good series by cancelling or moving shit around...

Fox ran the eps of Firefly out of order. They pushed the two-part pilot to late in the season and made Joss come up with a one-off to start the show ("The Train Job.") Firefly was a serial enough show that this made a lot of things not make any sense.

It was a fun, funny and interesting show.

I have watched a couple eps of Dollhouse and am a little annoyed that Joss went back to Fox and is being fucked with in the same way. There are interesting currents to this show but due to being shown on Friday nights and, again, Fox saying no to Joss's pilot episode I am not even sure if this is me projecting/hoping or if it's really there.

Also the couple episodes I have seen, other than the over-arching plot type material have been... nothing to write home about.

I guess if this is how he wants to run his material, that's what he's gonna do.

Maybe with Tivo and the ability to stream everything online and eventual DVD sales maybe Friday night and running order doesn't matter.

I hate it when Fox moves things around. I especially hate when I'm watching a show like House/Fringe/Bones, and after the show it says, "Fringe will return in four weeks."

It seems like ratings should matter a little less now than they used to. A lot of people may not watch the show when it's aired, but buy the DVD box set. If they just go by the number of people tuning in, they are not getting the whole picture.

I just can't sit and watch a show on TV and sit through the ads. There are quite a few shows that I discover later, and find they were canceled.

Fox pisses me off when they do that. I've stopped watching a lot of shows because they do that and then I forget about them.

I have a tendency to not even try to watch shows until they're over, or at least a few seasons in. That way I don't waste my time and become disappointed if they're horrible, and I have instant gratification for the next episode or next season and don't have to wait it out (once they're on DVD).

I just started Lost last month
