indio greyhound station to polo field

alright, so once you're in indio, how are you getting to polo field? cabbing it? renting a car? walking?

i've discussed this with some people here and there, and walking seems like the best thing to do. i have no problem with that, i'm just not crazy about doing it alone and at night. i'll get into indio about 10pm thursday. i know it's still pretty safe.. but.. you know.

i'm just wondering what everyone else does. i know the car lines are forever long..

I will be at the greyhound station (3, 20 yr olds) around midnight thursday night, probobly walking or hitching the rest of the way...I'll check in to see if anything else develops

My bus arrives in Indio @ 6:55am Thursday morning...what to do until 5pm with tent and all (shrugs)...starbucks!!

I wouldn't walk from the airport. It's helluva far. And at night it can be dangerous. Nevermind weirdos. Drunk drivers and oldsters running you over, as well as rattlesnakes can get you. And that's if you don't get lost. I'd take a cab or something.

hahaha its like a few miles walk. you can walk like 2 blocks to hwy 111, get on the bus, take it to Monroe and get off, follow the traffic south.

i have the same problem
we're arriving at the greyhound station thursday afternoon. my plan is to hopefully meet people on the bus with the same dilemma and go from there. shouldn't be too hard to find a way there... cab, bus, or hitchhike i guess

We are just going to take the shuttle from LAX to the Greyhound, get to Indio late thursday night/friday morn, then walk the 3 mi to the polo field. I am guessing by that time the line of cars from the site might be 3 mi long anyway so why not walk!

me and a buddy are getting to LAX in the afternoon, making our way to the greyhound and then probably gonna walk to the polo field when we get to indio. If you see two briitish kids wandering around then thats us. feel free to come say hi.

heeellllllooo - Indio after dark is NOT safe. LA Gangs, illegal immigrants, the county jail, high poverty, high crime rate. Indio is no Palm Springs. Take a cab.

The Coachella Fest itself is safe, but it's a Polo field.

3 Miles? Thats not bad, though I heard it was less than that, but it won't be a trail of tears migration
