Yes. They're amazing live. See them. Just do it.
I saw them at Coachella 04 without having heard their music before. They blew me away and I immediately bought the self-titled album. I've since seen them once more, and they were even better. Can't wait to catch them again.
always good

See you there. I Love !!!
personally, i don't go for their recordings but the live show is awesome. they'll get you to boogie like you've never boogied before.
how do you say this band name?
I've never seen them but I think they're great.
Chick Chick Chick and Bam Bam Bam seem the most common.
I permanently lost some of my hearing in my right ear after seeing them live. That's how good they are (AND HOW LOUD)!
their live show is way better than their albums...you're in for a treat
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case.
Saw them in '04 thanks to a friends recommendation. Hadn't heard their stuff then, but it ended up being one of my favorite sets of the day. I definitely agree with everyone who has said that their live show is waaay better then their albums. Just something about them is so much fun and you really can't resist dancing. Atleast, I can't. Hahaha.
this should explain everything.

whew...
thanks dorkfish - that was fun

missed em at '04 but seen em 3 times since, glad they won't be playing at 1:30 this year cause they THROW DOWN!
If they could get a James Brown disciplined drill sergeant to make them tight as hell they could conquer nations, but their looseness is indeed half the fun.
If they directly follow or precede a GirlTalk set the whole scene could turn into a nudist colony. just saying.
It's a fucking party...I'm loving it
looks fun... love the last cd.
They started going on a "america is a fascist dictatorship...blahblahblah" at the end of their '04 set and I didn't feel like listening to them again after that.
Do they do that at all their shows?
Probably one of the best acts of the day. They bring an amazing vibe to their show and everyone just randomly feels like moving and clapping. Check them out for sure.
That video makes me miss the show at the El Rey. Being right up front made things so much better.
whats up with that music sounding exactly like cake.
That is indeed an opinion that I would disagree with, and everyone else, hopefully.

they sound nothing like stale cake.
one of the best dance shows you could be a part of.
saw them in 04 at coach and last year at detour and both times blasted my ass back to prehistoric.
go see them.
saw them at detour
super good!!
the best sleeper that year
as predicted by nostradamus
I saw them at Detour too. This is the only time i've seen them. Great energy. Second best set that day, next to Basement Jaxx. I'm not sure if it's like this all the time, but maybe those who have seen them a few times can either confirm or debunk what I'm about to say.
Although they put on a great show and get you to boogie I noticed a good amount of people dancing very wildy at their show. I mean, so much so that they had total disregard to everyone around them. Arms were flailing everywhere, hitting girls in the head and such. It was almost like a mosh pit, without actually being a mosh pit. Mind you, I was about ten to twenty feet from the stage. I also noticed a lot of people had some serious B.O.
I encourage everyone to catch their set, but with this in mind I would encourage some of you to stay closer to the back. It's not really a show you need to be right up front for. If you could find yourself some good space toward the back to dance your ass off and stear clear of some of the smellier people, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself a lot more. People seemed to "intensify" a little too much.
oh dude i know exactly what you mean
i came by it after basement jaxx so i stayed in the back but oh did i dance my ass off and so did everyone around me.. i mean i think people in the back were more in it then the ones in front

thanks for the replies people.
it's acts like this that make coachella awesome. not the big time acts, because you know what to expect out of them. but the 2nd and 3rd tier acts that GV has a knack for picking out, who you don't expect anything out of but they end up blowing your ass out. i'm excited to see them.
!!! are not like Cake, never have been, never will be.

That's all I have to add.
:]
