Thread: YOKO ONO!!!

    Default YOKO ONO!!!

I would LOVE to see Yoko Ono at Coachella, but the last time she toured was in Russia, right? She seems to have developed a new, younger following because of those DJ techno guys taking her screams and adding beats to it. Heck, just getting Yoko to be a guest disc jockey might be fun. I wonder if Golden Voice even thought of asking her.......I wonder if there's still time to ask her............walking on thin ice is the spice of...life.......

[QUOTE=idrive1life;4915]so Friday - Paul and Yoko
    Saturday - Rolling Stones
    Sunday - The P O L I C E

    It's beginning to look like:

    Friday: Rage Against the Machine
    Saturday: Willie Nelson
    Sunday: Bjork

What a let down. I'd take Yoko playing DJ over any of those acts (at Coachella) any day.

Willie Nelson was the best Saturday headliner... EVER!

I actually didn't mind her at Pitchfork this past year. In fact I kinda dug the abstract performance art meets structured music thing she did.

I think that getting involved with John was the worst thing she could have done for her career. She is a unique artist and I would be drawn to watch her.

What career wold she'd have if she never hooked up with John? Its doubtful she'd be such worldly figure without Lennon or having had his child.

Probably, but I don't think she was ever in it for the fame or to be a worldly figure. She wanted to change the world and that's what brought John and her together.

We can't say where her career would have gone without John. At the time though, she was a prominent artist. I mean, John went to go see her - who's to say what would have happened if he hadn't.
