at blues n roots in oz you had to submit your name and birth date when buying tickets and then matching photo id when picking tickets up, its quick and less f ing around than glastonbury and still a big f you to the scalpers.

How have they got a flawed business practice? They sold out their concert, that was their aim and they did it in record time.

The Glastonbury system last time was an absolute nightmare - the whole thing sold out in a couple of minutes, servers crashed, people who had gone every time for years missed out on tickets - everyone bitched a lot.

Hopefully this years pre-registering system will be better.

This year's system looks really good, you submit a photo in feb if you want a ticket then only people who did that get to buy tickets in april when they go on sale. I think your picture is on the ticket.

but with no glastonbury last year, how many thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people are gonna register and still be disappointed cos they servers wont be able to cope on April 1st when tickets go on sale

I can't stand people who are making fun of other people for not buying their tickets earlier. It really does suck. We didn't even plan on going to Coachella until the lineup was announced. We had to get together, decide our trip and buy our tickets. We ordered ours about 2 weeks ago luckily. But still, I feel for the people who couldn't decide right away if they could spend $300 for tickets. It's not cheap. You have to calculate everything else in it too.

i started thinking about coachella around the 2nd week of jan and me anmy girl sat down and decided to make it our spring vacation. got the room reserved, financed it and got 2 sets of tix. done. now gonna pay off the c.cards by april and its on... we were going regardless, but onc ethe lineup was announced the people who didnt get tix underestimated the rage factor... well either way good luck to the ones who have to now do alot of ebay homework to get tix!!
