The worst part about decemberists fans is that they actually think they are literate. Relentlessly fetishizing mediocre storytelling hardly qualifies as being literary.

It has nothing to do with literature - it's good music. But to each his own.

You would've paid $600+ to see that 2 hr panel? It's only for badge holders.

    Oh, in that case, no.

Fuck badge holders up their stupid asses.

I went to the Boys Noize show at The Light on Weds night and I got to fucking meet Alex aka Boys Noize! One of the best times I've had at a show and his set was killer.

If we're lucky something will happen. Some adversity will happen and something unexpected will happen and you'll get tired and you'll get hungry, you'll have trouble going to the bathroom, and you'll lose your car keys, and all these wonderful things will add up to some powerful experience that 10 years from now we'll say "We lived, we lived." - Wayne Coyne on Coachella

Did anyone see Adam Freeland's Live band? I saw their first show, it was in San Diego on Wed night - I loved it. You'd have never known it was the first show either.

Thats awesome Harrisment, I too was there for Boys Noize and vouch that it was a great set. Also saw Adam Freelands too short of a live set at the Red Eyed Fly but was still stellar and then just saw his dj set yesterday night!!

    Other noteworthy highlights:
Kanye West, Common, Erykah Badu, and Kid Cudi
    Toxic Avenger
    Hearts Revolution
    Kissy Sellout
    Little Boots
    Flosstradamus - caught half set
Asobi Seksu - caught half set
Ponytail - just a happy accident I caught this set
    Abe Vigoda
    Turbo Fruits
    Crocodiles
    HEALTH!!!!!
    Casiokids
    Harlem Shakes

    Big dissapointment: Kraak and Smaak
Apparently they needed more channels then the club could give them and left in a big huff.
Funny enough but the Vivian Girls were everywhere but not once did I get a chance to see them.

Got one last show tonight by Rusko @ Barcelona, all these bands and the only thing I have spent $$$ is food!

    so far i've seen:

    devo
    department of eagles
    black joe lewis
    the thermals
    arkells
    sam roberts
    delta spirit
    black lips
primal scream (bobby was giving us high fives the whole show)
    obits
    handsome furs
    passion pit
    cut off your hands
    nasa
    glasvegas
    echo and the bunnymen
    peter bjorn and john
    grizzly bear
    dinosaur jr
    vivian girls
    chairlift
    asobi seksu
    annuals
    electric touch
    white lies
    razorlight
    pj harvey
    echo and the bunnymen, again.

all of those were full sets, except vivian girls. i didn't want to see some bands (white lies, razorlight, etc) but then again, they were playing before others like pj harvey so i couldn't avoid them.

    highlight: pj harvey.
