I don't know too many of them, mostly guys are fighting at 135 because 125 isn't very big. You've got Tachi Palace and other mid sized local places that have them, but it isn't too big. I think it's gonna be a great move, I find the smaller fighters to be very exciting. Usually very face paced fights.

The main event this past weekend was pretty damn good. If you can, locate it online and check it out. Even the co-main was pretty awesome.

Video and picture both linked to from Sherdog.com

    http://www.sherdog.com/videos/recent...ra-Injury-3515

UFC 48, 2004. Tim Silvia has his radius bone broken.

Both fights were refereed by Herb Dean.

Roid boy Overeem may not get a license to fight. Good way to fuck up after you drop your longtime camp, that you're currently in a lawsuit with. Asshat!

Wow! I hadn't seen that picture. When he let him go and he just fell like a sack of potatoes, that was freaking crazy!

What do you think about how Jones dropped Machida on his face after he knew he was knocked out? Or that Greg Jackson told him to check on Machida afterwards to "get some fans.". I think Bones Jones is a bad motherfucker and the future Heavyweight Champion of the world but there's something a bit off about him.

That shit is funny. I need to listen to some interviews and see if they ask either of them about that.

I think the guy is a douche bag. But I give him a little bit of slack considering he's on top of the Mixed Martial Arts world at the age of 24. I'm sure he tweets, has a facebook and checks in to news, or at the least hears about it. He went from an entry level pro fighter, to a prospect, to a world champion in under three years. This is in no way a justification for his actions, but it's gotta be tough to get there that fast.

He was super humble at first, very polite guy. Then he started getting crap about it. Having all these people talking, offering money, contracts and a bunch of other BS I'm sure is tough to handle. Especially when the most important thing to you at the time is training. He's got a lot to learn in an effort to win back some fans. I'm kind of off and on about how I feel about him. Like I said, I think he's a douche, but he is also an outstanding fighter dealing with a lot of stuff. He's just dealing with it poorly right now and hopefully he straightens up.

I also think it was good for Jackson to coach him on that, obviously someone needs to. But it totally sucks that it's on video with audio.

As for actually dropping Lyoto, I think that too is a little douchey, but I also think it's getting too much attention. Should he have carried him in his arms to the doctor? I don't mean that literally, there could have been some middle ground with how he handled it. Again, he's just handling this poorly. Maybe his humble start in the UFC was a front and the guy is a complete asshole. Maybe he beats his lady. What do we do about it?

I didn't watch the fights this weekend, but I really want to see this choke+drop! You guys know where I can find a video? UFC does a great job of wiping it from youtube (obvi).

Here's what Greg Jackson said about it to MMAJunkie.com:

"I shouldn't have spoken in that way, but that wasn't my intention," Jackson today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "It sounded bad, but moronic [expletive] comes out of my mouth sometimes."

The intention, he said, wasn't to be political but to remind Jones to conduct himself honorably inside the cage.

"What I was saying was, 'Go check on Lyoto,' what I meant was to remember that you're a public figure," Jackson said. "There's always attention on you and what you're doing all the time, and there's cage etiquette. There's things you're supposed to do, and going and checking on somebody is what you're supposed to do.

"And now because I'm in military mode and in shorthand mode, I say, 'Jon, go check on Lyoto and go get some fans,' and what I should have said was, 'You're a public figure. There's a way to conduct yourself.' But instead, I shorthanded it."

I think it just shows immaturity on he part of Jones. Look at Anderson Silva, I think that is the prime example of how a champion should act. Sounds like a typical thing to say but it's true. He's a bad ass at what he does, that's for sure, but be humble not a dumb ass. I want to see Silva step up and fight him, that fight would be a million times more entertaining than if GSP stepped up to fight Silva. That's the new super fight that should be in the works, especially since Silva has stepped up and fought at that weight previously.

Definitely immature the way he's handling it. But I'm sure it's hard to deal with all that at the age of 24.

And thank you for saying Silva should move up. I'm sick of hearing Jones moving down, doing this, doing that. The guy defended the belt at light heavyweight twice. this is the first time its happened since 2007. Let him reign as champ at this weight class for a little if that happens to be how it plays out. As for Silva, if anyone should move around it's him or GSP. They've been dominating their respective weight classes for a while now, with no serious challenger in site. Well, except for Diaz, but I think the wrestling GSP has is gonna be his defeat.

Mir's sub of Noguiera was awesome. Glad he cleared any doubt about who the better fighter was. Beautiful jits.

Anyone catch Strikeforce this past weekend?

I was really hoping Masvidal would have done more. He definitely is a better fighter than what he showed, he just seemed really hesitant and wasn't putting together very many combinations.

I like it. Not sure which one I think is funnier, but the Lesnar bit had me laughing pretty good.

Who do you want to take the win, or who do you think will take the win?

Lesnar over reem. See what I did there?

    Cerrone
    Fitch via yawn fest
Gustafsson - Just going with the younger guy here. Wouldn't be surprised if the experience takes it though.
Phan - Asian brotha can get some love.
    Pearson
    Castillo
    Kim
Escudero - Hopefully he shows up.
    Riddle
    Nunes

Lesnar should win this. The key to this matchup here is if Overeem can get back up after he gets taken down. (which i doubt)

    Main Card
    Lesnar vs Overeem
    Diaz vs Cerrone
Fitch vs Hendricks (I don't think it'll be a great fight, but not a total yawnfest. If Hendricks wins, it'll be a 1st or 2nd round ending)
    Matyushenko vs Gustafsson
    Phan vs Hettes

    Prelims
    Pearson vs Assuncao
    Njokuani vs Castillo
    Kim vs Pierson
    Volkmann vs Escudero
    Riddle vs Ramos
    Gamburyan vs Nunes
    *based upon tedious fact checking.

I don't think it'll be a total yawnfest either, I was definitely exaggerating.

I think it sucks Fitch is so good, but he can't get past GSP. Kinda like Franklin before he started moving weight classes. Able to take out the entire class decisively, except for the top dog. I can't imagine how frustrating that might be.

I think Overeem looks pretty good from what I have seen, but I could never bet against that freak of fighter Lesnar. Assuming Lesnar as had no issues with diverticulitis and he says he feels better than ever then I fancy Lesnar to overturn the odds.

    Lesnar +110
    Overeem -138

Freak of a fighter? I'd say more freak of a man than a fighter. Size doesn't mean win, we've seen that numerous times.

I'm going with Lesnar because Overeem is not very good on the ground. His last fight with Werdum was a freaking joke. Lesnar should make much better attempts at the take-down.
