It's funny, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, and REO Speedwagon were all in a similar place careerwise 25-30 years ago. Same radio formats, same concert arenas.

Now, Foreigner and REO Speedwagon are considered a joke by most, but Cheap Trick still has a bit of a cool factor. They are the only one that still has a place in MY collection. And a cool indie-pop act might cite Cheap Trick as a influence, but no new band would ever admit "we were really into Foreigner".

Me First & The Gimmie Gimmies cover of "Take It On The Run" is pretty awesome though.
