I paid over $200 bucks for something that held like 15 songs. And then downloaded a program that made the songs into a shitty quality to make it hold like 30 songs. It was back in 1998 i think. Anybody else have one?

I had a 64 megabyte RIO mp3 player years ago.

It could store about 1 album's worth of music if encoded properly.

It was revolutionary for me. Skateboarding with a cd player made the cd skip all the time. Digital players don't skip

I am pretty sure someone stole it from me years ago.

I had a mini disc player too. Here's the Rio 500. I was really excited when it came out.

I had some kind of Rio. Only had 64MB, but then you could slide in an SD card...I think I had a 128MB add on.

All in all, only held about 50 songs, but it worked for going to the gym.

I just sold (yes, sold) my Panasonic microwave that I bought in college in 1994. I also just sold two Panasonic TVs from the same time period. I even own a Panasonic vacuum cleaner that has outlasted three others. Their stuff rarely breaks, so it's usually our first choice for consumer goods.

If you pressed the FF button, it would go to the next song, but if you held it down, it would fast forward on the song it was on. Same thing with the rewind.

My first MP3 player had some mini discs, not a mini disc player player but some other format. I got it for Christmas in 1999, and then lost it about 6 months later. The problem with it was that it was way too loud when reading the discs so it annoyed everyone around me all the time. I am trying to figure out what kind of player it was.
