    Default music festivals in canada (or very north US)

    i'm in canada from late april (just after coachella, otherwise i'd be there) till the end of july, and i'm wondering if there's any decent music festivals up there...?

    I would recommend Sled Island. It runs from June 24-June 27 at various venues
    around Calgary.

    Sasquatch is pretty close depending on if you are East or West. It's at the Gorge between Seattle and Spokane.

    Yeah Canada's pretty big - where about you going to be? If you're near Windsor then Detroit is right across the river and DEMF is May 23-25. All sorts of electronic music.

    out east though, the Ottawa Bluesfest is getting better every year...(yet they still had Fergie last year - UGH),

    Hillside in Guelph, ON is one of the best-kept secrets. Amazing chilled out hippie kind of vibe, and all the top Canadian indie bands have played there at some point or another.

    Another good one is Osheaga in Montreal, similar in size to Toronto's V-Fest. Montrealers party like lunatics so it's always a good time.
