Last year was fun despite the insane humidity. I may go this year depending on the line up, it’s starting to look good already.

Meh. Unless some other bands I really like are added, I don't think I'll be going like I thought I was. Only Grizzly Bear and TPOBPAH are drawing me at this point.

Just remember, every year they roll out more and more until it's nigh impossible to pass up. If Grizzly Bear and the National are headlining, I'd be surprised but also happy.

Anyone else who buys tickets, please, please, please help me out by voting for Sudden Organ by Yo La Tengo. And Boilermaker by the Jesus Lizard.

I don't dislike any of these bands, except The National and Vivian Girls, it's just that I don't really care much about most. Except Grizzly Bear, but they are playing LA. So yeah, no Portishead = no pitchfork for me this year.

FYI everyone. I just found round trip flights for that weekend for under 200 bucks.

Yo La Tengo! I really can't afford to travel anymore this summer, but this is so tempting.

Oh Jesus. That's tempting. Again...Waiting. When do you think more will get added? By next week before the tickets go on sale?

I don't like the National at all. That's a huge no-draw for me and making it tempting to say no. Also, I want hipster dance music!

There'll be hipster dance stuff for sure. It's been there every year.

I'm hoping I can make this work. I'm already going to New Zealand and I'm paying for Law School next year. It'll probably depend on if I can get substitute teaching jobs once I pass the CBEST.

Please explain your logic behind this storms without warning in Chicago.

The city is directly west of the lake. Weather comes from the west.

If I can talk my friend into going to this I may be there. His mom was laid off from delta after 911 so to comp her they give her ample amounts of buddy passes. I flew to NYC to see Pearl Jam for like $75 round trip. IF I GO, would anyone be interested in sharing a hotel room, depending on how much they cost?

If I can go, I very well might be. The hostel that I've stayed in has been both nice and convenient, but it'd be nice to have a more comfortable and more private room.

Alright. FUCK LOLLAPALOOZA. This thing already has me going. Fucking Yo La Tengo and Tortoise in one day is enough to get me there. Grizzly Bear and Jesus Lizard aren't too bad on top of that, either. But then I read this:

Please see the whole tornado warning thign that happend the day after Lolla ended and they had to like cancel all flights at the airports and the cubs game was delayed for a while etc etc. That mornign before it all went down, Im taking the rental car I had for the weekend back to the place which was up the street wher eI was staying. So I drop it off, outside its a little cloudy but nothing crazy, within those 10 minutes of me being in the place and signing a couple of forms and making sure all my stuff was out of the car, it turns dark and it starts pouring rain. Then above tornado warning thing happens later in the afternoon, luckily I was flying out from wisconsin so I missed it all and no flight delays and snags like everyone else in chicago.

Yeah. I'll probably go to this unless complete disaster strikes. Even if I'm totally broke, Megabus is $1 from Cleveland if I plan far enough ahead and one of my best friends lives in the city. Fucking Jesus Lizard.

TORTOISE!! The National! I love Pitchfork! I will be there, easy drive, free place to stay, cheap festival tickets. The only festival I can attend for under $100. I've been every year and have always had a blast!

And what's the deal with Jesus Lizard? I'm betting they're worth checking out, I have heard their name but know very little...

hahaha, not really my style but seems entertaining, I like their energy. Man do I hate the way they filmed that video though, that quick zooming in and out trick gets tired after 3 seconds.

I'm trying to decide on the songs I want to vote for for this. This is going to be really, really fun though.

My favorite Tortoise song is one of their more famous songs, TNT, but they actually don't play it live at all of their shows... so I'm thinking I'll just vote for that. But I also have to hear Djed live before I die.

My favorite Yo La Tengo song they wouldn't otherwise play is probably Moby Octopad. I would also kill to hear Pass the Hatchet live. So maybe I should just vote for that one.

As for Jesus Lizard... I'm only really a huge fan of Goat, so anything off of there, but in particular Mouth Breather or Romeo in Joliet. Still getting to their other albums now...

And Built to Spill I'm a pretty casual fan so I don't have much to say there. My favorite song of their's is probably Velvet Waltz.

I'd bet good amounts of money that, due to the fact that they're one of the voting bands, the Jesus Lizard will play a set that consists almost solely of material off of Goat and Liar.
