anybody going to the show in LA next month?

i'm sure there are alot of you out there who wanted to see them last year at Coachella, but they got stuck with the worst conflict of the entire fest...

if anyone wants to meet up or smoke a jay, let me know...

I expected them to be back this year to make up for the shitty conflict they had last year...fortunately I did get to see some of their set, when I sprinted over from Roger Waters...looking forward to seeing them again, but can't make this LA show
    '99-'11...

Exactly. But then I missed them at OSL again because of the muni bus situation. Two strikes for me. That's what brings me all the way up to LA for them, I must finally redeem myself...

Just got back from the show. Man. Those guys kick SO much ass. I haven't been listening to them for that long and didn't know quite what to expect, but that was the best show I've seen in '09 so far.

I saw them a few weeks back and thought much the same things. They really impressed me, extremely tight.

I saw them do a free show last December. It was their last show before they took a vacation. It was an awesome show. It would outside a fucking freezing cold and pouring rain. But it was an awesome show. Was this their first show back from their vacation tonight?

That show was great. I love them. Their setlist was really well paced and encoring with No Hits and Don't Run Our Hearts Around was SO much fun. I also didn't realize how lovely their lead singer is until I saw her in person. She's quite the heart throb.

Driving back to San Diego at 2 AM was kinda a bitch though...

She is tiny! Isnt she? She seriously can't be taller than 5 feet. When I saw them, I was 1 person back from front row and she was standing on the stage... and I was still taller than her.

I never saw her offstage, but I DID see the other lead singer (Mr. Mountainman) out on the sidewalk and he had to be about 5'4" at most. So yeah, I hadn't realized. That does make her less cute...

I don't think her being so tiny makes her less cute. Actually, it just adds to her adorableness. What is most amazing about her, is that such a strong and powerful voice comes out of someone so tiny. No only that though, she seems really self-conscious on stage. I have seen them twice and she acted the same way both time. She doesn't make eye contact with the crowd and her movement is very limited. Even when she plays the tamborine she seems shy. She is freaking adorable. She doesn't seem like someone who should be the co-lead singer of a kick ass psychadelic rock n roll band. And that is what makes her so awesome.
