that is all. Thank you!
I can only imagine they are going to be booking larger acts...
I'm not that big on the shrine either though.
I went to a massive at the Forum a couple of years ago, and they divided the arena in half with curtains, and had two stages back to back. Surprisingly there wasn't much sound bleed except when you were between both stages.
The forum is not a valid venue.
7/26 Au Revoir Simone @ The Roxy, 8/1 Arcade Fire, the Unicorns, Dan Deacon at the Forum, 8/2 Burger a-Go-Go, @ Observatory, 8/9 Warpaint @ Observatory, 8/10 Warpaint @ The Ace, 8/23-24 FYF Fest, 9/11 Swans @ Roxy, 9/18 Neutral Milk Hotel @ Hollywood Bowl, 9/19 Chvrches @ Palladium, 9/30 Cibo Matto @ the Roxy, 10/9 Zola Jesus @ El Rey, 10/16 Massive Attack @ Greek Theater, 10/26 Asobi Seksu & Slowdive @ Royale
Who did they book that they need the forum?
Luckily my friend lives one short cab ride from the Forum!
Acts probably wont be confirmed for this until after Coachella
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.
Upcoming Shows: Marques Wyatt - UCLA, Paul Mccartney - Dodger Stadium, Yes - Greek Theater, Herbie Hancock - Hollywood Bowl, NIN/Soundgarden - Hollywood Bowl, Cut Chemist/Dj Shadow - Palladium, Massive Attack SB Bowl
keep me up to date on this one..... Prodigy? or are they in germany those dates?
Kasabian/Bo Ningen: 10/1 @ Metro
Coachella: 4/10-12 @ Empire Polo Fields
Yesterday, the ticketmaster listing had the tickets going on sale on March 6. I check again today, and they're already on sale. For $55 (pre crap fees), the acts better be massive.
Wow thats crazy. This definitely needs to be really good to sell tickets at that price.
I wont go because there's no way I'd get home safe. With the Shrine, I'm two blocks from home AND I can use USC transportatino to pick me up and drive me.
The Forum? I'll get lost in Inglewood.
Take La Brea all the way back up to l.a. its that easy to get to and from there....
Yeah, but it's the DRIVING thing, dig?
I'd go to this.. but I like my vital organs too much
Sleep in your car, Barbara apparently did it.
And INGLEWOOD ISNT THAT BAD!!!
Like everyone freaks about its in the ghetto, cars get stolen etc etc. I have never had anything happen in all the times I have gone to the Forum, parked my car in what most of you guys would consider a sketchy neighborhood and come back unscathed. I am sure they will have double the amount of police at this thing compared to what they had at Hard Halloween.
eh, it will be good. can't wait.
it's better to live as if there are no "do-overs," so that you won't need one. I thought I'd share this with you, to work in the bits about fear, mistakes, and how precious today's opportunities are.
I lived a few miles down the street in Hawthorne for a while.
If the Forum is as bad at Massives as it is at concerts, I'm gonna skip it. Plus, I had my GPS jacked right of my car at the Metallica show in December.
Then people would be even easier targets for drive by shootings.
I'm half teasing. I'll be in Virginia by then... damn.
Most of downtown is worse, really.
If Inglewood had an affluent privately funded university in the area, maybe teh forum would be safer, please.... USC kids acting like they don't have enough events they can walk to already...
I'm not defending the Forum, nor attacking the Shrine/Coliseum/Sports Arena area I'm just sayin...
Anyway.., Etienne de Crecy anywhere/anytime this year would be obviously sick!
Groove Tickets are selling pre-sale as well (cheaper service charge)
I'll wait for the full lineup though...
Wow, whatever acts they have playing this must be huge. 15,000 capacity plus pre-sale tickets being more than Hard Haunted tickets ever were.
...someone had to say it out loud. I don't know see how else they think they're going to sell 15,000 $70+ tickets, once you factor in fees.
They can get DJ-AM and Momjeans to dress up as Daft Punk.
