I went to go look for the last Paul convo and it was three pages back and had some 58 year old claiming Paul is a load and some guy wondering why he's titled "Lurker"

Plus ive been off the board for about a week and i could use the hostility from you all. Strangely enough i kinda missed it.

OK to the point.........

All this time ive been wondering why Paul is playing friday and not sunday. Didnt make much sense, not like hes got any other gigs going on why not let him close out the weekend, let me take my cid and not have to worry about the after effects all weekend.......

Well, it was brought to my attention just this evening that 39 years ago exactly on April 17th, 1970 Sir Paul released his first EVER solo album in the U.K. titled "McCartney"

Im starting to think his performance is going to be something extremely special, not just the normal set, which im sure is spectatcular in itself. But honestly, I think this is more than a coincidence and im really stoked to see what comes of all this......

Yes, i really did just start a thread on this and yes im sure it might have been talked about.

But if infact this little bit of Rock History hasn't been brought up then lets hear it folks...

i would bet that he doesn't even know that its the 39th whatever. pretty insignificant compared to the rest of his career.

dont think it has anything to do with the day he's playing. logistics is hard enough to figure out with this many bands in 3 days, esp with headliners.

Because it is the anniversary, what do you think he's going to do, play that whole album or something? I bet that would actually turn off a lot of people unfamiliar with it. I'm expecting a "greatest hits" type deal, maybe a couple off each solo album and a few Beatles tunes. Maybe even have Ringo walk on stage at the beginning, sit down behind the drums for a minute, say "Whoops, wrong band..." into the mic and then get up and walk off.
