We got Black Celebration, Barrel of a Gun tonight! Encore just started and Martin is doing Shake the Disease. I fuckin love this band, can't stand the girl that's sitting next to me thats been to the bathroom 6 times -___-
The show tonight was good but honestly nothing spectacular. I agree with the previous comments of it being non-spontaneous and over-rehearsed.
Went all 3, and I have to say Sunday was the best. Saturday was a close second.
Good to know. I could only afford 1.
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
what time were doors? crystal castles? DM?
i saw the show at Staples on Wednesday. Seats weren't the greatest, but the sound was goood. Here's my favorite picture i took:
Great show last night! I can't believe how fantastic Enjoy the Silence sounded and I'm sick of that song. And Martin sang But Not Tonight and Shake the Disease. (Yay no Question of Lust) And how fucking incredible does Dave look! Dude must have nine lives. I hung out with the Arizona boardies on the lawn -- Good spot in the center. Best quote of the night from Ivy during Personal Jesus, "TOUCH MY FAITH, BITCH!"
I don't really care much for the new songs but they sounded pretty good.
I grabbed Rick when he started Shake and then screamed "holy shit" when he started Condemnation after Shake. Only the second time they've played Condemnation in like 10 years. And I loved hearing But Not Tonight. All in all, the set list was as expected, except we got a few less songs. I think Dave's voice is still giving him fits and this upcoming tour break is probably needed so he can rest his voice (it also means they skipped I Feel You...fine by me). They've dropped most of the new songs on this leg. Hoping that on the second leg, they'll change up their new songs and include Slow and a couple of others. Agree on the dullish stage setup too. Very scaled down; they had those cool spaceship light thingies that they really could have used more. I only saw them come down once or twice. At the same time, we were so goddamn close that I was busy staring at Dave most of the time.

Last night was my first time seeing them and I absolutely loved it. The guest list tickets I won through Global Citizen were in section 104, row J! Couldn't really believe it when the lady at the box office pulled them out of the envelope. Highlights for me were Policy of Truth and Shake the Disease. Didn't even realize we got a shorter set list until I looked at it this morning. Just felt perfect last night. Although I would've liked to have heard Soothe My Soul. Kind of hoping they end up being a headliner next year so I can see them again.

I wish I could've gone tonight. I saw them last week though and was really impressed. I'm not familiar really with their music aside from a couple of hits but now I really want to jump in and hear the rest of their catalog.

That was fantastic. Compared to when I saw them at Lolla 09 they sounded so much better and seemed to be having a much better time. I didn't get to see them this year in Tampa because I went to Riotfest, so they really need to play Coachella or at least do another North American leg.
I didn't like them as much tonight as I did a decade ago in Long Beach, but they are still a very good band.
What was up with the videos of the dogs? Confused...
Great show last night. Shorter (as expected) but compared to LA, the biggest difference was I got to hear World in My Eyes.
