Ew for When the Body Queefs.
I like When the Body Speaks
Where's Underworld and Mew? Make it happen GV.
We wont look it up either if youre that lazy.
I'm not trying to be rude. A lot of things that are discussed here could easily be looked up on one's own, but what fun is that?
Pretty sure they played Stripped at Coachella.
Have they played "Pleasure, Little Treasure" at all recently? That's one I'd love to see. "Everything Counts" too, which I see they played at least as recently as 2006.
4/5/14 - Trentemoller - Fonda // 4/9/14 - The Knife - Fox Theater Pomona // 4/22/14 - Dillinger Escape Plane - Glasshouse// 5/23/14 - 5/26/14 Punk Rock Bowling - Las Vegas
5/28/14 - Elbow - Wiltern // 7/9/14 - Cloud Nothings - Roxy // 8/25/14 - Nine Inch Nails - Hollywood Bowl
They played Stripped on the TOTU and the Singles tour. They played Photographic on the PTA tour. It's time to pull out some stuff that they've not played in more than a decade (or ever).
Little 15 (1990)
Nodisco (1981) (mostly because I think it would be funny)
It Doesn't Matter (1988)
THE SUN AND THE RAINFALL (not since 1983. I seriously think I would cry if they played it)
Here is the House (1990)
Get the Balance Right (1984)
Lie to Me (1985)
Looking at some of the Tel Aviv video. I'm liking the version of A Pain that I'm Used To that they're playing. Really not liking the stage setup/projections on this tour either. One of my favorite things about a DM tour are the weird projections during the music. The Enjoy the Silence one is ok. Halo is alright. But none of them are as good as these:
And my favorite (it just cracked me up)
If anyone is interested, my friend uploaded the VH1 Behind the Music of Depeche Mode from a VHS rip. Good stuff.
You mean "Richard Blade: Behind The Music"?
Hopefully Bat for Lashes will add a headlining show at a smaller venue between Brooklyn and Long Island shows.
I guess they're finally changing up the setlist a bit (not sure if it was because they did back to back shows in London or what)
From one night to the next, they:
Replaced Walking in My Shoes with In Your Room (good choice)
Replaced Black Celebration with Behind the Wheel (not a good choice)
Replaced Policy of Truth with World in My Eyes (geez, I'd rather have both)
Replaced A Pain That I'm Used To with John the Revelator (good choice)
Replaced A Question of Time with Soft Touch/Raw Nerve (good choice only for the fact that I hate A Question of Time. I'd rather see them add Soft Touch/Raw nerve and drop another one of the new songs that are boring, like Heaven, and then drop AQOT and replace it with something else that's old).
Martin seems to have four songs in his three spots that he's doing: OWILM, Higher Love, Home (ugh) and When the Body Speaks (ugh). Personally, I love Higher Love but would much rather hear Dave sing it.
Those all look like good choices to me. World In My Eyes is probably my favorite track on Violator (since th eother singles are so overdone). I love Behind The Wheel! Home is a good song, but I'd prefer Martin's Violator songs. At least it's not Question of Lust.
25th anniversary of the Rose Bowl show. Dave looks so young.
