what would be a better for meeting people and having a good time? do onsite camping and sneek in some booze, or stay at the Shadows Hills RV Resort?
    thanks

Onsite is where the party is at. I've talked to people who camp offsite and yeah I'm sure you'll have a good time but inside the Coachella camping... Some crazy things happen!

Besides, there's over 5000 people that camp there, why would you pass up that opportunity to meet all those amazing people(and some douchebags)?

Onsite! I did it solo in '07 and met tons of people, had a GREAT time. Didn't do it in '08 and needless to say I'm not making that mistake again.

I vote Lake Cahuilla. No bag searches, there's a pool, and you can have camp fires!

I've taken beckylyn's advice and booked shadow hills so i'll say going offsite would be your best bet!!!

I'm coming over from London and just couldn't take the chance on security to the campsite not allowing booze in which is just about the weirdest thing i heard of being scottish - they actively encourage you to drink at festivals here, all of them here are sponsored by booze companies!

    Onsite! Onsite! Onsite!

As soon as the music stops on the fesitval grounds and walk out of there, bam!, 5 seconds and you're in the campsite ready to party/chill/rest/put on a change of clothes whatever right away. No waiting in a long car line to leave, take a risk of getting pulled over. Same with the morning, you wake up (if you sleep),bam!, you're there!

Being onsite with thousands of other campers from all over the world, everybody is so friendly and happy, cuz its Coachella!!! Once you get there Thursday it don't stop until you leave monday morning. The campground and campers are the true heart of coachella. Way different and cooler experience than staying at a hotel in some town.

Bring enough supplies to last you. Staying in the festival and campgrounds for 4 days without going back to town, without going back into normal civilization for 4 days,.... I don't know,... i can't explain, ....its just so great!

I wouldn't do it any other way, nothing compares to it

I camped at Joshua Tree last year, but this will be my first year onsite camping. Ahh I'm so stoked to meet the CAA folks and everyone else.

onsite is the way to go. you just stumble back to your tent at night and not worry about traffic or the drive back.
