Now I know how I'll be spending my Thursday night

I've always RSVP'd but never attended...we usually just Motel 6 party on thursday night. Plus, I'm always designated driver, so i wouldn't be able to enjoy the margarita slushie machines.

On another Coachella party note, looks like Music Loves Fashion will be hosting another bash this year (they're even offering hotel packages). They throw high-end parties for industry folks. If you're smart you can get on the list though...just gotta work at it.

I read somewhere that there would be something on Thursday for the people arriving early..

If it's not the same thing, then what do they usually do at the polo grounds on the thursday prior?

last year was great ..as always free liquor and beer..free entrance ..a very large lakeside venue..and great dj sets..Cut copy Dj'd ...it was awesome..until..

the crowd was so unruly @ 2 am that the buses who took you to the party were afraid to stop and pick people up...there were fights and tons of cops..we luckly walked to the street and begged the busdriver who, until only intrstucted by the cops, took us to our cars.

Hopefully they will get better security and have the bus situation more organized. Ive been for the last 3 years and i will go again..it was just a bit scary last year...

ohhh the pre-party the reason why I showed up to the fest on friday with a hangover from hell, oh well i'll be attending it again. I think what got everyone riled up was the lack of organization by the bus people ( maybe all the free booze had something to do with it...u think...nah) plus last year was the first year they had buses coming from a further pick up/drop off point. In years past it was from the casino down the street which meant quicker trips and a quicker time to send drunks back to Coachela Fest grounds.

exactly, there were never real shuttle problems before. last year was just a pain to get out but we just went back in chilled for 40 minutes and came back out...everything was sorted by then.
