outkast
arcade fire
bowie or muse
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.
nope
Arcade Fire would be such a weak headliner. Let them come up with two more albums, at least. Preferably albums more on par with Funeral than Neon Bible.
Muse would be a decent Friday headliner if there are some amazing Saturday and Sunday headliners.
If Arcade Fire's next album is on par with the first two I say let'em headline. Muse does seem likely though, I hope so anyway.
And yeah, Bowie, Gorillaz, Outkast, The Smiths, Radiohead, Daft Punk, blah, blah, blah, etc. None of those will happen.
no.
I'd haul ass right over the ocean for this, yes.
I probably wouldn't even think to pack a bag first.
This we would be good for '10. Muse needs to return to the festival, as does Arcade Fire. I think Muse has a new album coming out this year, right?
2008, 2009, 2011, 2012-2, 2013-1...
As far as I know, yeah. Arcade Fire too, with a bit of luck, but they'll certainly be ready to rock in time for Coachella next year.
not if the big one of 2010 has anything to say about it...
arcade fire is a fail in a half...........really delusional
July 21- Soundgarden- Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
July 30- Rage Against the Machine/Muse- LA Coliseum
Oct 21- Portishead- Berkeley Greek
Nov 18- Pixies- Fox Theater Bakersfield
Enjoy the Killers, Cdubby.
And once more for the hell of it, Ronnie Vanucci Jr, guest starring the Flying Arcade Fire...
That guy is an idiot.
I think Muse or Arcade Fire will be there, but not both. One can be the n00b headliner, Bowie can be the classic headliner, and Daft Punk can be the ZOMG YAY THE COACHELLIANS PEOPLE NEVER STOP ASKING FOR headliner. Add Blur and Pulp as subbies and you have bestchella.
Anyone who has seen Muse live would agree that, although it would be unpopular, they would be the perfect Sunday headliner in 2010. Very few other bands would give you a full 2 hour set that is at the same level of face meltation to close the festival out.
Muse do put on a sturdy light show alright.
Although, I dunno would I stick it out for a whole two hours again.
And uh, Muse unpopular...? Really...?
Would make for a simply spiffing weekend, I'd say.
We're on the same page MP.
Muse is better i guess,
but id put Muse and the killers in the same category in my minds Coachella Rolodex(lolz),
trendy and meh
i really doubt that muse will never be big enough over on this side of the pond to headline. too bad cos' they are fuckin' fantastic.
as for the arcade fire....nope....won't EVER happen.
Muse aren't going to develop beyond what they've already done, I don't think. They've gotten as big as they'll ever get. If they don't qualify as headliners on the strength of what they've done already, they won't ever.
Arcade Fire's trajectory still depends on their next album, I'd say. It's still up in the air for them to a certain extent.

muse > killers
arcade fire > jack johnson
done?
headliners!
deal![]()
"It began as a mistake" - Charles Bukowski
Wanted:
1. Nachos
2. Puppies
here's the issue though, jack johnson was the lame 08 headliner and the killers are the lame 09 headliner
and since muse is compared to the killers
and arcade fire to jack johnson, that's comparing them to the lame headliners. and coachella can only afford one lame headliner a year, they need room for the good ones like waters and macca and prince
