So who's selling out Saturday?

We all saw Sat tickets sell out quickly (twice, haha), but who the heck is drawing people to Saturday?

In another thread about dropping the act, RHCP won by a mile. Is it the dance mania? Is it the most accessible day with work and such? Any comments?

People want to spend the weekend at Coachella not just Sun. Regardless of how much we hate on the Chilli Peppers they are a big draw.

i think its the subheadliners
like mstrkrft, vnv nation, arcade fire tiesto, lcd soundsystem, ozomatil, ghostface killah, gothan project and hot chip

Chili Peppers are still a huge draw, which is probably accounting for a little less than half of the ticketholders. And for sure the sub headliners. One band, as big as RHCP or not, can't sell out 60,000 tickets in that short of time.

BUt RHCP just did a tour through so cal...... I can see RATM(not an album in yrs,no touring, and nothing after this show,so get them now or never)..

SO id say the undercard for saturday. And yes i dont know hoalf of the artisit but heard of tiesto..

The reason Saturday sold out is Sunday. Rage fans who bought up the Sunday wouldn't want to just drive up one day and then leave.

The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, also I wouldn't undersell Travis, it's been awhile since they've been round these parts so I know a lot of people who are excited to get to see them again. My self included.

Tiesto - arguably the best DJ in the world right now

Arcade Fire - So many people got into them too late, so I know a bunch of people are dying to see them live

And then you just got a ton of really good bands - LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, Peter Bjorn & John, Hot Chip, CORNELIUS, Girl Talk

And I hate to say it, I bet you some people are excited for Jack's Mannequin & Fountains of Wayne.... probably RHCP fans.

I think Saturday has some great bands, even for those of us who are not into dance music. I am very excited about seeing the Arcade Fire for the first time (are they gonna be as good as the hype? I hope so), and very excited to see both the Black Keys and Kings of Leon. I am going to enjoy seeing the RHCP, even though I have seen them 3 times before. And if they don't conflict with those previously mentioned bands, I will check out the Good, the Bad, and the Queen, and maybe Tiesto.
So you don't have to be into dance music to enjoy Saturday. There ARE good rock bands playing as well. And if alot of people are watching Tiesto, Rapture, or LCD Soundsystem while Kings of Leon are playing, then cool.....that's more room for me.
