What should I expect the tempature to be

Weather.com says the average is 87 in April and 94 in May so I was expecting like 90 degrees which being from Texas is fine with me, but other claim it gets to be 100 + whats the deal?

on sunday in 2004 it was 35degrees celsius (95farenheit) when we pulled up in the car at noon...

we had drinks in a cooler packed with ice which we left shaded in the back of the car...when we got back there at the end of the day the water had to be close to 20degrees celsius...

hottest day ever...

I only remember one really windy night in all the years. But hot I remember! when it is 90 you think AAh! this is not too bad. In 04 the newspaper on Sunday morning said it was 111 on Saturday --that and the first year were the hottest I think. So prepare for 100+ and be so delighted if it is 90. 87degrees-never happened!

It's hot. the year I went was aparently more moderate then the years before, but it still felt like you were boiling between the hours of 12 and 5, and I am from this area so I should be used to it, but no. It did get windy at night too, but by that time I was squeezing my way up to the front to see Coldplay and was surrounded by loads of people so I didn't really get cold until afterwards.

every year i have gone except for '02 (I think) was 100'ish but in '02 it was in the 80's. That was the best year ever for the weather.

2004 was AWFUL - my car had the temp at over 110 degrees F at 1 pm. We even saw two girls pass out, but that was extreme... usually it's more like 80s and 90s.
Here's what my friends and I do:
**Dress in layers (i.e. pants that convert into shorts)
**Bring a jacket (it's COLD at night)
**Wear a hat... it blocks the sun in AM and keeps you warm in PM
**Bring a zip lock bag and fill it with ice from a water vendor
**Bring powdered energy drinks (e.g. Emergen-C)
**Find one of the cardboard fans early on

Good luck! (and the water is rarely warm)

I'm from WI, and I HATE HATE HATE cold. So I want heat when I get there. Lots of it. Looks like I will be very happy.

I am most content with 75 and above. Here in WI...it's even worse in summer because we got mad humidity rockin' the joint. But, warmness only lasts for about six months. Then we are stuck in a cool-turned-freezing abyss.

being that im from canada, and our summer days are not even as hot as the night time in palm springs, it should be ok. last year i believe it didnt quite peak at 100F on the polo fields. i survived just fine though. i think once the sun went down, teh temp dropped considerably, but i was still comfortable wearing super thin cropped pants and a bikini top. i did bring a light zip up sweater, but i never wore it. us canadians are hardcore. we dont bother putting winter coats on until the temp goes to 10 below 0. :b
