Nice, I've been meaning to check both of them out.

Anyone else pre-order the High on Fire Art of Self Defense reissue from Southern Lord? It is cheaper if you order before August 31st.

Didn't know that, I might order it. Does it have anything different from the original?

I can't get this pic to load onto the board, but it's good for a chuckle

Any tech death fans here? Finally got around to listening to the new Spawn of Possession and I must say it's a shit ton better than I expected. I thought Noctambulant was kind of a mess, and after some lineup changes and six years in between that release and this new one, I was kind of worried. They definitely came back around to the style that I loved on Cabinet.

It's not ideal. But the overall quality of every record I've bought from them is good enough that I don't really question it. It came to ~$36 with shipping.

I think it was in the MLBMOTW thread but whatever. Drinkey, City by Strapping Young Lad was a fantastic recommendation. This is pretty much exactly what I want from Devin Townsend and then drums and guitars and yeah. All hail the new flesh.

Apparently Randy is back in the US and they just announced a new tour. That Dethklok tour is the replacement for the one that originally had LOG on it and was canceled.

EDIT: Announced yesterday - Lamb of God, In Flames, Hatebreed
Now that Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe is back in the U.S. following his arrest in the Czech Republic, the band is ready to hit the road again. Their camp sent over these details:

Lamb Of God will launch a 38-date fall U.S tour on October 30th in Phoenix, Arizona. Joining Lamb Of God As direct support for the entire tour is In Flames. Hatebreed will be joining the package from October 30th until November 19th at which point Hellyeah will replace them for the remainder of the shows. Sylosis will open all dates.

Due to Randy Blythe's continuing legal situation, the band will not be able to perform in Canada on this tour but look forward to doing an entire Canadian run in the near future.

The tour will be the first U.S tour in support of the band's CD, Resolution, which debuted at #3 upon its release in January, and will be the last tour dates of 2012.

They are fucking fantastic live. A must see if you are a fan. Does this mean Matt Pike is out of rehab and doing better?

It's not that great, but it can be fun. The sound is good, but it is a dance club in the middle of bumfuck Maplewood.

High on Fire is fucking incredible, Matt Pike is now sober and wearing shirts too! Goatwhore and Lo-Pan this tour should be fun.

Boo. He's not the real Matt Pike unless his trashy white body is on full display.

Deathfest announced their lineup today and fucking knocked it out of the park. I am on my phone making it hard to post the lineup, but I will say holy fuck they got The Obsessed! You can look it up and see it for all its glory. They are also going to have another stage this year with no barricade featuring mostly punk and hardcore, I may not be the biggest fan of them, but it should make Converge's set very memorable.
