I finally got to see Liturgy yesterday afternoon. I've been wanting to see them for awhile now since their latest album was one of my favorite albums released last year. There were only like 50 people in the audience, which isn't terribly surprising since they were on at 1pm and they were te first band to play that day, but it didn't seem to bother them. They sounded pretty good too. I didn't know that their drummer had left the band, so it was odd to see them performing with a drum track. I hope they find a replacement soon because it sounds off without live drums. Got to talk with them after their set and they seem like pretty cool guys. Real appreciative to the people that showed up for their set.

Yeah, there wasn't a drummer for the Primavera set either. It kinda made it seem a little unprofessional to just play with a drum track. The two guys completely slayed the audience though, people were still with pure shock and amazement.

I was at one of the first ever Eagles of Death Metal shows, and instead of Josh being there on drums they had the drum tracks on a CD being played by a discman sitting on a chair next to Jesse. Several times he stopped songs and started the tracks over again.

I guess the new Baroness leaked but I couldn't find a link...BUT NPR is streaming it. I'm on the second song now I really like it:

It's very different in that it's much less instrumental-focused, but the heart is all there.
