The people who know what's funny aren't the ones who write for Entertainment Weekly.

I watched some of it and laughed at some of the some that I watched. I'm not big on any of his character stuff, but I enjoy his standup.

He was SO funny at Bonnaroo 07. I had no idea it was a sketch show, this wasnt bad for the first episode. It has great potential, and personally the sight of him dressed as a PLURtastic raver is worth its weight in gold

Wait... seriously? You skipped Demetri Martin for LL Cool J? First off, that is hilarious that you saw LL Cool J. But how could you skip Demetri Martin for that?

I saw him at the Fonda last night. He was great. He's got a whole bunch of new material. It's not as good as the stuff from These Are Jokes, but I'm guessing he's still fine tuning them. At some point he told a joke that wasn't that funny and he grimaced and said, "I'm never telling that one again." All in all, a good show.

It's a "wait & see" kind of show. A lot of it looked like filler between the good stuff. His "raver that showed up too early" bit was funny for a quick minute...his flip-chart stuff is always great...but yeah...I'm gonna wait & see.

Nipples FTW. "Toys" is an underrated movie to the extreme. It's really crazy.

Also, the last episode of this ("Brains") was pretty fucking awful. I laughed maybe once and that was during his stand-up stuff. But that skit with Shakespeare, Jefferson and Galileo had me cringing

You guys are crazy I love the show. I didn't see the last episode, but two before it were hilarious. It's refreshing to see someone funny who isn't just disparaging everyone all the time.

So far I've only liked the 2nd episode. The first one was ok but wasn't good.
I agree that the "Brains" episode was really bad.

I thought it was pretty funny, but I was also pretty baked and it seems to lend itself to that sort of humor.

Speaking of mitch I saw a comedian on premium blend a month ago that came off as a much darker version of him but I forget his name. Maybe someone can help me remember it, one of his jokes went like this:

So I got in an accident recently, the car said Just Married and man the guy was pissed. We got out of our cars and I said, "hey look, we can just settle this like adults and exchange insurance..... but none of that is going to bring your wife back."

Honestly you have to watch it a while, the whole time there were scattered claps in the audience and with his heavy sarcasm and dry delivery this guy really is on a whole other level.

I liked the sketch where he was "acting" with Amanda Peet.

Also, the sketch with the two guys picking a fight was hilarious, but other than that, the sketches blow. The one with the TGIF waitress was painful.

I'll still watch it if I see it on, but I'm taking it off my DVR list. Sadly, The Whitest Kids U Know has been weak this season as well. I want some good sketch comedy! Did that box set of The State EVER come out?
Shhhhh...don't tell anyone I'm in disguise!

it was quite apparent that it was a fake generated audience laugh for all his stand up... the same laugh sequence over and over. there was some MILD humour involved, but i can say i will likely never watch another episode.

he makes me laugh sometimes, but I get irritated when he looks so proud of himself after each joke..it seems very amateur, as if he just started as a comedian, but he's been around for quite a while

I wanted it to be better because i saw him a couple of times a few years ago, and he was hilarious

I've been a Demetri Martin fan since seeing his Comedy Central Presents a couple years ago and he was great at Bonnaroo, but his show isn't going to last. It would be great if he toured though.

His bit about how adding "DJ" in front of a name makes people take you less seriously, ie: "DJ Abraham Lincoln", had me lol-ing pretty hard.
