2 full quality days vs 3 days with only a few gems here and there.. 2 was better for sure

No question... 3-days is the way to go...

The better question is 1 or 3. I've always done the full event, but have sometimes been half-tempted to do only a single day... But screw it, you're already there, might as well see the whole damn show.

3 because with all the quality that 2 days brings it also brings more conflicts

I was just thinking about this the other day. I love that it's three days long but, I feel as if this years festival should have been cut short to two days. Not that it's all that bad, just that it feels more fitting this year. There's plenty of good acts but I feel like it would hit more solid as a two day festival this year.

    Next year though 4 days

Definitely three! Makes it easier to justify travel time & expense for those of us not living close by.

I do wonder if the change to three days changed the "character" somewhat - allowing for more acts and therefor more diverse (commercial?) acts? - but I still think it's an absolute quality show. I'm not someone who feels personally violated if Goldenvoice books someone I don't want to hear ... I'll just take a nap or go to a different stage.

I think two was better. I like to go early and stay late, see tons of bands, and last year by day three I was exhausted. Plus another day equals higher ticket price alongside more days taken unpaid off work. Not a good combo.

The lineup does get a tad more diluted in the three day format but an extra day of fun is always better.

3 days! They should also have a Sahara headliner close each night after all the other shows are done....like a 12:30-2/3am slot.

i just see more days as more fun. They may as well put it in the middle of a desert for a whole week and burn a giant man at the end of it.

    But, you know...

i think two days is better, purely because on the 3rd day i buy that hot dog that i wouldn't touch for the first two days....the same thing happens with women too

3 days all the way! I mean if you're going to spend all that time and money to get to your destination why would you not want to have another day? Sure it waters things down a little bit when it comes to the lineup but that just gives you more time to do all the other fun things at Coachella besides see awesome live music.

My first year was '06 2 days and I am much more pleased with the 3 day format. Cause hey you can always just go 2 if you want.

2 days, Friday and Sunday. You get a break from the heat, and might get to take a normal shower. Plus with a lineup like Saturday's, you get to save some money by not buying a ticket. I've gone 3 and 2 days. I can go either way, but this year, much like the RHCP headlining in 2007, Saturday just doesn't look appealing at all.

I barely wanted to see any acts on Friday last year. It was awesome. I wouldn't trade a day of getting to hang out in that place whether or not I liked the music for anything.

Randy you actually speak the truth. In fact I couldn't have possibly said it better. That's basically how I am this year... 3 acts on Friday I plan seeing for sure, a few more I'd really enjoy seeing, and that's it. It's about 10% of what the whole weekend will be in terms of watching music. At first I was disappointed that it was all lop-sided, but the more I gazed it, the more I realized how perfectly set up it was.

It will be the first day in Coachella history where I can just really relax and do whatever the hell I feel like doing the whole day. No sprinting back and forth at full speed from Mohave to Main stage, no bitching and pushing through all the people to get up front, no crying over gut-wrenching conflicts... I can just be at Coachella for the sake of being at Coachella. Just let it all sink in and stuff. Have fun with my friends, screw around at the Do Lab or whatever the hell it is, maybe ever discover a new band.

And it's even better that it's the first day of the weekend. I think that's the perfect way to start. Soak it all in for a day... than see all of my favorite bands.

So in short... I think you should make some more serious posts

It was a really nice way to start the weekend. This year it looks like Saturday is going to be my lazy day, which is fine too. It was so delightful having a full evening to just walk around, kinda lazily catch parts of a few different sets, but mostly just stroll the grounds and admire the lights, the art, the feel of the whole thing. The incredible PEACE.

Nothing like it in the world. Hello, shitty lineup, I love you.
