Just finished my BS in Information Systems Security.

It's funny, I am also a high school dropout.

I am contemplating whether it's worth it to try for a Masters at this stage in my life. I don't think I can afford it.

I took this semester off after losing my honor's scholarships because my GPA was .01 below what I needed. That really pissed me off.

Why is it that the more education someone has, the more narrow their viewpoint is ? I'm getting really, really tired of dealing with Engineers that can't see past their tiny little realm and take in the big picture.

i'd say the first part of your statement is a bit of an overgeneralization

as for engineers, engineers in most schools (ignoring schools like harvey mudd) just take classes that are strictly related to engineering, so there's not a lot of exposure to other fields

Almost every engineer I know fits that description like a glove. My 'geer roommate during university never had any idea what I was taking, just that it was "some artsy shit" that isn't engineering-related and hence completely pointless. I agree with Karma - these guys are totally isolated from reality during their 4 years, while all the other students are learning about the world.

    AA in photography
Went to CCCC (Capital City Community College, Charlotte NC)
TSU (Tenn State University, I already told the story about me being the only white student there)
    UT(University of Tenn)
Radio and TV school ( Nashville and Hawaii)
    A million USAF courses
    A million IT classes

In other words not much when you get down to it. I ran out of GI bill money after 10 years of attending college. I might have continued but I got a pretty good job at 24 so I quit. I would like to go back to school but just to audit classes because I want to learn more but I don't care about the paper. cr****

I'm working on my high school GED right now. There's no way that I'm going to let 14 years of education go down the drain.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

Maybe it's because they don't care about your meaningless artfag bullshit. Did you ever consider that he was maybe right? That pointless discussions over shit that doesn't really matter in life are usually led by those with a feeble narrow mind?
