Jeebus the NY media is going to BURY this guy. They're usually really on his shit, but this is really going to do it.
Why do you think Madge got so ripped?
as a big baseball fan its a sad day
I really wish they would just leave this all alone and forget about it
at least MLB isn't in the same boat as the NBA, which is no better than WWE on account of the crooked zebras.
unfortunately that's not going to happen any time soon...beyond Arod's name getting leaked in this report, there are 103 other players that failed the same tests in 2003....
you know reporters are salivating, waiting for their chance to uncover more names....I'm afraid this is only the beginning again

They need to publish the other 103 names. It's the only fair thing to do for the 600+ other players who didn't test positive.
Baseball (Selig) keeps hoping this will go away and so he doesn't really do anything and so we get stories pop up like this every few months. It will continue to bring the game down, which is why I think the best strategy is to just come clean, name everyone, and move on.
i say let 'em get juiced...it actually makes baseball worth watching. seeing guys with size 10 heads, just absolutely crushing the ball and have scores of 11-15 every night. do it, to it.

There's no point to publishing the other 103 names or so...this was like a practice round of testing and was supposed to remain anonymous....some dude just happen to have the list in his hand, saw A-Rod's name and leaked it because obviously he was the biggest name and would create news/story about it. The whole thing is just stupid...they're all on roids, or at least were...I could of told you this 10 years ago.
I think a very large percentage of players were on something, but the comment you made about them "all being on roids" is why i think it's important to know who didn't fail drug tests..
our collective attitude regarding guilt by association is an unfair way of looking at it...because even if tons of guys did cheat, there is still a huge 3 of players who didn't, and to thrown them all in with the cheaters is a poor move I believe
growing up playing baseball, I played in high school, then at the junior college level...even in my first years in high school, I knew several different guys that did steroids...there are those willing to do whatever it takes to succeed..
but, on the other hand, I knew several guys that were so in love with baseball, and so dedicated to the sport and being healthy and clean, that they lived their lives like puritans, no drinking, smoking, eating only health food, not going out at all..even staying away from girls because it distracted from their goals in baseball......
we had scouts around a lot, my team even played against Arod in a national tournament when I was freshman in HS(he kicked ass then)...so the temptation to try and get an edge to stand out to the scouts was present then too, but not everyone succumbs to that
my only point being is that tons of these guys do live clean and healthy, working their asses off and aren't cheaters....
while I'm as sick of the story as anyone, I think it does a tremendous disservice to the guys doing it the right way to sweep it all under a rug and let many proceed with the "they were all doing something" viewpoint

WTF was with that interview he gave? He says yes he admits to using "PDE's" during that time frame but then says he has no clue on what substances he used. Just fucking admit and tell the truth....they all try to beat around the bush and act like it's nothing big and just wanna say "sorry to all my fans, kthxbye". Dumb.
bummer. they really should release the other names as well though.![]()
As a Giants fan I say good fucking riddance! My guy got virtually singled out and crucified by the media because of a preexisting rocky relationship. OK, juicing to attain the greatest record in sports didn't help either.
Yes, it is important to publicly name the dirty players. If nothing else it will certainly act as another deterrent for players to juice in the future. More than anything else it's pretty much a waste of otherwise amazing careers. Players like Bonds, Clemens and A-Rod would have been/are some of the best players to ever play the game but now, regardless of their natural ability, they're tainted, doomed to be linked with cheating forever. It just sucks all around.
Umm Yeahh... I'm pretty sure that a safe bet for being on the list would be;
