never had an issue with the rules. i always wish for more spraying/misting/shooting water but besides that it's cool with me.
i think the worst rule is that campers cant go to and from there tents during the day . campers have there own entrance... why not connect it and let the campers go back in forth!!! come one!!!!
Who is one, and when are they coming?
Not even close. You can get 24 bottles for $5 at any grocery store in the country. In fact, I was rolling around selling bottles for a dollar and made a couple hundred bucks strolling through the campground last year during the late morning. I simply went up to the grocery in Indio and came back and sold it. People were greatful for half price water and I still made a profit.
that's it then - bulk water sales at coachella!
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case.
It's funny. Do the math. That's roughly .20 cents a bottle and you are being told what a reasonable price 2.00 a bottle is.
Only issure last year was coming into the festival...I have never seen so much trash in my life entering the grounds. Then leaving last year after TOOL, that was a huge mess as well.
HERE ARE THE DOs and DONTs:
And for the record, at Lollapalooza, water is $3 per bottle, or $4 for smoothies.
I never drank so many smoothies in my whole life!
I love smoothies!!!
The water thing bugged me, as well. Sure, they sell it for $2 a bottle, and we don't have to buy it. But why the hell can't we bring our own water in?! That's almost inhumane in a freakin' DESERT! I went in 2001, and it was hooooooot. Saw lots of people getting tended for heatstroke.
Also, the camera thing. I wanted pictures, and lots of them, but oh no, I have to make do with the 6 the were posted online. I should have tried to sneak one in, I saw plenty later in the day.
"No wire hangers!"
so how hardcore are the searches into the campground? do they frisk everyone, and look through the whole cooler? is everthing checked? same thing with the concert, is it like a police frisk and patdown?
I go to shows and festivals.
Over 1000 youtube videos from concerts
The searches are pretty thorough. Frisking, bag/gear searches. Pack your patience.
Well, we must have gotten the asshole shift when we were going in (2001), 'cause they were shouting "no cameras, no cameras" and telling people "nope, can't bring in any cameras, no disposable cameras, nothing". Maybe some people who actually knew the score showed up later. Dicks...

I had a Montblanc pen confiscated in 2005 and there were not any rules printed anywhere that said no pens. That pen was a gift and I had it for 10 years so it had sentimental value bsides the$value. I told the guy he should at least keep it instead of throwing it away. I know I look like I might cause some major trouble with a pen-me being a 51 year old Mom with her kids at the time! I wrote to Goldenvoice to complain but got no answer so sure am glad to vent here! Thanks for listening.
Science has proven that a 51 year old mother with a pen is more dangerous than a coked up maniac with a shank hidden in his rectum.
Shit, lady, you're lucky they didn't tazer the everloving hell outta you!

For the most part, sneaking stuff into the campground is not difficult. Just send someone inside and pass everything through the fence. I had a security guard watching me two years ago when i did it; as long as it isnt blatently drugs or alcohol they don't seem to care.
$2 for a bottle of water is not bad. Think about paying $3-4 for water/pepsi at any other events... concerts, theme parks, etc...
this thread needs MORE COWBELL
funny as shit, btw
