    Default ANTONY & THE JOHNSONS - LIVE REPORT FROM OH

    Saw the show last night in Columbus (third of the tour)

    So amazing, Antony sounded beautiful and the song selection was a great mix of old and new - with even a Beyonce cover thrown in for good measure (it didn't sound like Beyonce by the way)

    He closed with Starfish/Hope There's Someone and capped off a lovely evening.

    What still puzzles me though is how this all will translate at Coachella? In the 1000 seat theater it was superb, there were times when is was dead silent inbetween piano notes. This obviously can't happen in the polo fields, hmmmm? Wonder what stage he'll play?

    Anyway - certainly one of the great gets for the festival - don't miss it.

    ugh....I fear a conflict between the Cure and Antony at Coachella...I can't seee them coming on during the day...so closing out a tent is where I believe they will be...I would gladly choice Antony over The Cure just because I saw The Cure last year...but I don't know if my group would be into it...

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

    Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

    CDubya, thanks for the review. I really dig the new album and was wondering how he sounded in concert. I'm gonna do everything in my power to see him. And if my group doesn't want to then they'll have to meet me by the big art thingy after the show

    antony and the johnsons is one of the worst acts this year. It's giving me a headache just watching that video.
