Sounds like lots of fun for people like us going it alone.

Believe me, not going with anybody is a bummer. Being with a lot of people makes it a party.

Join the Camp All Alone club or just say hi to people around you ...think you'll find people are pretty welcoming and friendly. You can have an absolute blast attending "alone" lots of people do.

Camp alone club are a bunch of fun people from all over the world. I camped with them last year and we had a BLAST. Im camping with them this year also. Join soon if your interested, cuz they are capping the group off at 100 and we are getting pretty close.

Yah, definitely camp with the others. The single-camp-party-goers always have a BOSS time regardless...who knows, maybe you'll hook up with another dirty inmate, lol...(in a good way). I have my girl to camp with so I'm set... Showers, look out!!! Dropping soap in those tight quarters...YIKES! (boom_shooka, bownt'_wownt')

NO WAY! I have camped alone every year (sans last year) since they first offered camping in 03. EVERY year, I have simply made friends of the campers around me. You might find that these others camper "adopt" you in a sense. You become friends and look out for each other's stuff/gear. If you have similar musical interests, they may want to escape the friends they came with and chill with you instead (this has happened to me a lot) 07 was especially fun when I camped with a group of Aussies gals, and some guys from London, Ontario. Spent most of the weekend with them in some capacity or another. Also, bring extra items (water is great for this) and share with people around you to make friends. You may be surprised at what you get in return (I sure was last year) Shade is another commodity that is easily shared and appreciated.

Being by your self is all good but when we bring people together then we all can bring supplies wich will help out a lot. We can camp next to the other group so there will be a bunch of us running around solo campers. Fuck it if my friends want to stay in a hotel then let em I'm camping I think it will make the coachella expierience much better. So iam in anyone else want to start another group?

To anyone interested, I've created a new thread-- a Solo Camping Overflow thread-- to see if there is sufficient interest to organize another group-- that will hopefully camp beside the other groups. There are a number of members that have voiced interest, so I will start creating an official list so we can start getting to know each other. Here's the link to the thread:
