Default Coachella should allow bottled water!

I think the last year that festival organizers allowed us to bring a bottle of water in was 2003. Why did that stop? i know water is available inside at a fairly reasonable pirce, but given the heat, ticket price, and the fact that i've got better things to do than go buy water, i think they should allow each person to bring one sealed bottle of water into the festival. anybody agree with me on this?

They should allow each person to bring in whatever they want, save guns, knives, and AIDZ NEEDLEZ.

I didn't even try to sneak it, I walked right up to a guard and said, "this is ok, right?". He said "yep" and on I went.

Camping entrance guards were cool as long as you didn't have a gallon jug.

Vegoose allowed up to 3 sealed bottles per person. But they were also charging $4 a bottle, so I think it probably evens out.

Also I doubt the vendors inside would be too pleased if Coachella lets people bring water inside. They pay a serious amount of money for food/water pitches inside-and $2 water is the only way they make a profit.
I have a sneaking feeling that security may be super tight on bringing water in this year. They need consumers spending inside Coachella.

    Water is $2?

    Ok good just making sure.

Hopefully they don't pull a Woodstock and sell water for like $5

It'd be good for vendors so I'm sure they support it

It does depend on the guard but it also gets more relaxed by each day.

I've seen people with gallon water jugs last yr.

I've seen people collaspe while standing in line because they were so dehydrated from the heat. Guards would tell you to get rid of your water, then you stand in line and faint!

Coachella better let in people with sealed water bottles we're in the desert! EMT's will have their hands full & coachella will be the blame.

i understand that some people are able to bring water in, but i also know that some of the security guards at the entrace are not cool with this. my point is that bottled water should not be prohibited. like, you shouldn't have to conceal it or be lucky enough to have a lazy guard let you in to be able to bring water.

I brought in 7 water bottles a day, just pushed to the bottom of my bag. I don't see why Coachella would care about the water people bring in more than any other stuff.

Seriously, if they have that "immunity bin" again where no matter what you're caught with you can just throw it away, I like to think they're pretty lax about a lot of other stuff too.

If water is a big issue for you, just participate in the 10-for-1 bottle recycling program. Go give 'em 10 empty water bottles, and they give you a bottle of water. Finding 10 empties is hilariously easy.

I personally don't bother, but if $2 a bottle grates on you for some reason, the bottle recycling program is totally the way to go.

for the 10 for 1 deal, hire a bunch of homeless people ( pay them of course say 2$ per 100 empties) And get these homeless people to gather you empty water bottles from around the surrounding cities. Sneaking them in will be a problem though I dont think the gaurds will allow bags of empty bottles to pass through the gates. Refer to other threads like the one of sneaking in cambodian breastmilk ( also known as Muschaha) or the sneaking in a ostrich thread.

And then while your in do the 10 for 1 dealio and Viola WATER

Bottled water shouldn't even be sold in the polo fields. Get green already GV.

Water stations, water fountains, water fill up areas, etc....should be EVERYWHERE. It is fucking desert! Recyclable cups should be given away and/or allow people to bring in a canteen to fill up.

Bottles of water really make me mad. It is such a waste on our environment. Leaving Coachella every year you can literally hear people walking all over the bottles of water left on the ground.

10-1 ftw. Before the Kraftwerk-Portishead-Prince main stage camp out I managed to gather up 50 bottles no problem.
