Is that a reputable news source? This isn't being reported elsewhere.
Canceling tour to be with 5 year old daughter.
Yyou bring the daughter with you on tour geez.
So that looks like an even better thing for Coachella - a headlining performance with no other dates in the US.
For your health
Paul didnt say shit.
case closed
Rhythm is a dancer.
tell me this isnt so...
please...
say it aint so..
Yeah, do people think this means that he would cancel Coachella? It says in the article: one-off concerts. That in no way impacts Coachella, which they mention he will headline.
For your health
I really don't think he needs the money.

damn...peeps don't read...even if the whole tour is cancelled..
Paul has enjoyed touring in the past but right now the priority is definitely Beatrice. He couldn't bear the thought of being away from her for any stretch of time so a full-length tour is out. He much prefers doing one-off shows."
McCartney was recently announced as the headline act for the upcoming Coachella festival in California this April.
OMG he prefers one off shows which is exactly what Coachella is! ZOMG he's cancelling!
Coachella is a one-off, chill guys.
McCartney cancels tour to be with daughter
Monday (02nd) 11:00
Sir Paul McCartney, has reportedly scrapped his 2009 world tour because the former Beatle couldn't bear to be parted from his five-year-old daughter Beatrice, from his marriage to Heather Mills.
McCartney is currently promoting his latest album Electric Arguments, which was released under his alter-ego The Fireman, last year and had planned a series of live dates across the globe in connection with the album, but put the idea on hold so as not to disrupt his everyday routine with his youngest daughter.
A source tells the Daily Express, "Paul and Beatrice have a real routine going, there's no way he'll disrupt that.

first. learn to read.
second, learn to read through bullshit headlines. he didn't cancel any tour. he had PLANS to do a world tour. PLANS. he had no dates set. no tours had been scheduled. he had PLANS and those PLANS were cancelled, in favor of doing one-off dates. that is a good thing for us.
good god.
I don't mind buying a churro for his daughter and watching her while he plays.
FYI. Please play Michelle!

Paul McCartney to be replaced at Coachella

After cancelling a planned 2009 world tour to spend more time with his five-year-old daughter, Sir Paul McCartney has confrimed that he will be cancelling his performance at the 2009 Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.
McCartney, an ex-member of The Beatles, was billed to headline the alternative-rock and electronic festival on Friday, April 17, which would have been part of his world tour promoting a new album called Electric Arguments released under the name The Fireman. McCartney's tour manager spoke with us on the phone, stating, "About a week ago, Paul's daughter [Beatrice Milly McCartney] slipped in the kitchen and bumped her head against a cabinet. She's all right, but Paul's determined not to leave her side."
"We've spoken to the Coachella organizers, and they were very understanding with the situation."
When we made contact with Coachella Festival organizer, Paul Tollett, he had this to say, "It's very unfortunate about [Paul McCartney]. He's never been to Coachella and we were very excited to have him as a headliner. Maybe when his daughter is older, or kitchens are safer, we can invite him back to Coachella. As for now, I am still very excited about the Coachella line-up. I recently have been saying how I believe that The Killers have earned a headliner spot, but I am excited to say that I think they deserve a double-set."
The Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee recently announced their line-up, which has Phish playing two sets, and Tollett's own All Points West had Radiohead play two sets last year. McCartney's manager had no comment on when the world tour would be scheduled, if ever.
