Klaxons have new material

It's funny cause last night I was asking myself, "why hasn't anyone predicted The Klaxons for the late additions" and then today I read that they are throwing a show in London with new material.

The Klaxons would be an amazing addition, especially considering the "beef" they have with Amy Winehouse over the Mercury Prize. It would make for an excellent Drama-chella in the works. What do you guys think?

klaxons would definitely tear it up at coachella - haven't heard the new stuff but am dying to - they got a great reception at coachella in '07 so would be awesome to see them back - if they don't get added this year, i'd say they'll be on next year's lineup for sure

Not sure where you were but I was up close to the stage with a bunch of fanatical Welsh and English kids and it was insane and a blast. I saw them two other times once at the El Rey and then the Fonda in LA and those shows weren't as exciting.

I was admittedly skeptical leading up to Coachella about them, I just never got what the hype was. I showed up while "Magick" was playing, found a spot about halfway back from the stage, stayed for 3 songs then bounced. I thought their vocals sounded wack and their show just sounded sloppy overall.

I'd still be willing to give them a second look, though.

^Agreed. Their vocals were horrible. Stayed for 2 songs and left. Adding Klaxons as a late-add would be the worst let down ever.

I was really into them in 06/early 07 up until the played Coach. So bad. Haven't really listened to them since. Unless they've gotten better (and they weren't from what I saw a few months later in LA) I could do without them even with new material.

I remember I was so into the Klaxons! I remember running like a maniac to see them at Coach. I went crazy! I can't wait to hear their new stuff.

I went along to the show last night. The new stuff had a more punk and less electronic vibe to it. The band all dressed in drag with full makeup and seemed to be really up for it.

White Heat was the club where it all started for them, so it was nice for them to come back (and only charge £10).
