Huh! No Prodigy?

Im really surprised that Prodigy didnt make the lineup considering thier new Album Release. Maybe we will get lucky and they will be added in the next weekes to come.

I am probably the biggest Prodigy fan on the board, so I'll be the gutsy one to say this:

I hope they dont get added. And here is why:

The only day they could be added (due to their schedule) is Sunday, which is already loaded with goodies that arent in the Sahara Tent. If I had to choose between MBV and Prodigy or The Cure and Prodigy, I would literally cry tears of infinite sadness.

Now if MBV switched to Saturday, I'd be more inclined to go for it.

Well MBV is right now the Number 1 act of the weekend for me. Prodigy would be number 2 if they were added.

If it was Prodigy VS The Cure, I'd pick Prodigy. It'd hurt, but I could do it.

If it was Prodigy VS MBV, I'd kill a puppy out of pure anger.

GV is not stupid enough to put something like the Prodigy against the Cure. Think about that for a minute. It'll probably be something like Armin van Buuren. I think Paul van Dyk played against them in 04.

While the Prodigy is possible I am hoping for the Chems. I don't see how the Prodigy can move their whole show across the ocean in one evening and be at full intensity. I'll see them at UMF and I've still never seen the Chems live so they get my vote. Both would be SICK in the Sahara.

The Prodigy played Coachella too recently for them to be brought back, despite the fact I love them. It would be like bringing Daft Punk or Madonna back again to Sahara. Too soon when there are so many other great acts to showcase.

i don't believe Dani's statement about Sahara adds... there will be adds, but i don't see how they could be in Sahara... there's no more than 12 hours of festival time a day, their are at least 12 electronic acts each day...

i said the same thing last year, and i don't recall any sahara adds other than Aphex (which did spurn tons-o-speculation about him or Fatboy playing Main)...

sure, some acts like Ghostland or Girl Talk will probably be playing outside the Sahara... but even then any new adds would involve a big name (Chem Bros, Daft Punk) playing main stage after Killers...



although Thievery Corporation on main after Killers would be pretty tight.
