    Post The Official Bring GRACE JONES to Coachella Thread

    I truly hope that Miss Jones is one of the acts that GV has up their proverbial sleeve. She's an artist who comes around (almost literally) once in a lifetime. When was the last time she released an album? The late 80s? At this rate, the next time we'll get to see her is when she's in her 80s. Judging by her recent TV performances and live reviews from the UK, she's still going strong. Plus, GV, you'd make a lot of the Hillcrest/W. Hollywood crowd super happy. Perhaps even happier than you did when you added Madge to the lineup.

    Who's with me? If you wanna see Grace, reply to this thread so that GV knows the demand is out there.

    AMEN. We need a dose of some Gaychella. The lineup is without in that arena this year. There's no Bjork or Madonna or Prince to satisfy our contingent.

    yeah, I guess I wasn't clear there. I'm well aware of the new album. I was just saying that if GV doesn't book her now, we might have to wait another 2 decades before she goes on tour again.

    She played a couple of European and/or Australian festivals last year, but I'm not aware of any recent US performances.

    YES!! She was one of my "wish-list" performers! I saw her on New Years Eve in L.A. in the early 90's - and it was something I will NEVER forget!
    I am sooo happy she is making a comeback - Her new album "Hurricane" is phenominal! I hope they add her to the lineup and that she does a US tour also - One of the best performers around! Hats off the Grace Jones!!

    Goldenvoice please impress us and get her over here to our festival in the desert!!!!!

    Yes yes yes we want Grace!! A big dissapointment for me not to see her on the list, but I guess there's still hope. I have her new CD and it is killer, check out the new video for Corporate Cannibal, very Massive Attack! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgMn2OJmx3w , she is with some great people on this CD like Sly & Robbie, Wally Badarou, Brian Eno and Tricky...
