Anyway, the Yeahs are one of the best live acts I've ever seen. Their performance in 06 is one of the biggest reasons I got so into taking in live music. The drugs helped, but still. Karen's fucking mesmerizing and as the sky behind them dissolved from blue into red and pink and orange and gold it was breathtakingly beautiful. Their guitar licks sound like they're 100 miles wide when they come out of speakers that size. This thread is for getting your dick wet just thinking about sunset on April 19th.

Speaking of which though, I'm kinda annoyed they're still in the same slot they were in 06. Throw MBV and their tuneless racket on the outdoor or something, all they're going to do is make 9/10s of the crowd wonder how the fuck such unenjoyable clamor got second-billing. The Yeahs would convert 20,000 people into fans in that same slot.

Sealings was on the Spiderman 3 soundtrack. They opened almost all the shows in 07 with it. It's so fucking awesome live, I really hope they still play it this year.

Another one of my favorite bands of all time, I was there for that 06 set. I had never experienced something so mesmerizing and intensely awesome in my life up to that point. They played here later that year and it just wasn't the same, it was good not great. Karen O is a Goddess and Nick is an underrated guitarist

I can't wait to hear what this new stuff sounds like, hopefully we'll get a new single or something soon.

They are definitely my must see on sunday. I was fucking elated when I saw them on the poster. Been wanting to see them for a while. Too bad I missed out on 06.

I first saw them opening for the White Stripes in '03 at the Greek Theater and was blown away, I had not really ever listened to them before that. I then went out and downloaded all their MP3s and later bought a few of their CDs. Also went to see them at the Henry Fonda in '04, the energy was amazing. But, when they played at the KROQ Weenie Roast later that year, although still worth watching, the energy level was much lower. Of course they got the slot where the sun is right in your eyes, and being a KROQ show the audience did not recognize talent...

Anyway, hoping that their performance at Coachella is more like the smaller shows I have seen. Missed the last one.
