Need a better drummer for their live act. Seriously. Otherwise they're cool.

Come on how could you not enjoy this

They put on a whole visual show with their set. In a tent on the polo fields would be great.

well to be honest, it's just a projection screen. A lot of bands do this. Teddybears had a great projection in 2007...used cult classic films and super imposed a teddy bear head on certain characters in the films.

still I do want to see place to bury strangers

Now this is my kind of heavy. I've watched about 5 yt vids so far and have not been disappointed. I love that spacey sound. Definitely hear a bit of Jesus and Mary Chain, perhaps even a little Stone Roses. I should have stopped being such a whiny bitch about the headliners. Every week, I find another member of the "under card" that I'll want to check out.

I saw them live recently, and I was more than a bit underwhelmed. The album is great, but they didn't play with nearly enough noise and the use of a drum machine kind of sucked.

I'm really excited about seeing them. I've always thought of them as Jesus and Mary Chain got into a horrible train wreck with Ministry, then out popped APTBS.

I've seen these guys a few times now, and they've been explosive each time. Try and get close to the stage where they'll be playing, watching them up close and personal gives you more of an appreciation for what they're all about.

Awww, is someone sad about riff-happy Limp Bizkit not being the headliner for all three days? Run along, then.

    Um ok rad.

This, like The Horrors, is a band that I back-burnered due to them having a name that conjured up images of Hot Topic, but this is some really great stuff Im hearing in the tracks Ive found.
"All of you coachella 'regulars' have nasty boy pussies and itchy dick4's on your asses.
Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.
Fair the well, you elitest scumbags."

Guess I'll be alone for this one. My two friends who are accompanying me have flat out told me that they'd rather watch an entire Killers set than catch A Place to Bury Strangers. I know you're both lurking around on this board and I'd like to inform both of you that you're hearing impaired. Anyway, we all know what happens to people who don't listen to A Place to Bury Strangers....

    Notes on the preceeding video:

    • Video is like something I would have made when I was 14

    • Song is rad, but these guys and The Horrors do seem to work the same field a bit. But thats aiight.

    • Wanna bang the chick

    APTBS destroy live.

Like seriously, their guitarist wrecked two guitars while playing. The guitars were plugged in too. It created a deafening noise.

    And it was fucking awesome.
