Hey,
I'm flying in from the east. I assume you have obviously been to coachella before. How is camping and what not? I have never camped before, but I'm willing to for coachella. How much would you want for gas and parking? It will just be my friend and I (two females)

My brother and I should be flying into LAX thursday and flying out Monday
I was hoping that there would be the free Amtrak this year, but there is no sign of that yet.
I'm sure we'd be willing to split gas and what not.

BTW parking is free! Or it was last year.

FJ is a pretty big SUV, think it will fit the 6 of us?

couture camping area is alright. Tents are packed it tight rows. You'll get about a 8x8 area to call home for the 3 nights.

They have portable showers so you can get clean in the mornings and plenty of potties.
Be prepared for the heat though. It is hard to sleep past 9am it gets so hot. Also it gets chilly at night (desert)

Well last time I went it was in 1999 and it sucked ass!!!

1.5 hour drive from LA
2.5 hours to get from freeway to inside venue

I like the camping idea but it will be a bit hot, We have camped out at Lake Isabella and its 110 in the shade so we will manage

The FJ is not as big as you think... 5 tight, 4 more or less comfortable...

If anyone else is camping, we may take our 10x14, sleeps 10, with three rooms, one is a built in screen room.

We would need two sites but I think that will be way to go...

wouldnt be much, probably $20 or less

I went to first in 1999, so 10 years later want to try it again...
It was cool when we finally got in the venue, just sucked going for one day so thats why we got the 3 day pass with camping and FREE TENT and Sleeping bags you can keep...

.....Help....My girlfriend and I will be flying into LAX on Thursday evening and departing on Monday. We are meeting up with friends upon arrival to Coachella, but we are looking for somebody to carpool with (2 people and a small amount of luggage). We will split gas costs as well as parking (if applicable). This is my girlfriend's first trip to Coachella (although I have been a few times) so I want to make it special; no crazies please! LOL.
