Originally, when I heard about car-camping, I didn't think I would need a locker. But now, since I am staying off site... I will be getting a locker.

I think we're riding bikes, not driving, so I'm getting a locker. Unless you're storing vinyl or a lot of posters, you only need a small one. About five of us share one every year and it's always been big enough.

My only complaints about the lockers is that they're so damn far away from everything other than the main stage and that the workers giving you the locks are sooooo slow.

I missed most of Franz Ferdinand last year because the guy assembling the locks was chatting with co-workers and not doing his job assembling locks.

Other than that they're great.

When I lined up the first afternoon, there were locker people taking locks out of boxes matching them up with keys and handing people the locks and keys to take to some guy across the way who would then install the lock into the locker. It took 30+ minutes. The guy matching the keys with locks was taking his sweet time and at one point stopped completely to chat with some guy for 5 minutes about nothing. Maybe it's because I didn't claim my locker till mid-afternoon or something. Still... it annoyed me.

lockers are such a great idea.. i get one every year...
i have claimed my locker each year friday afternoon as soon as i get there around 1130am. no line, nothing so the earluer you get there the easier it is...

well last year, the girls' (girlfriend and another female friend) supplies were tampons and pads, moisturizer, special sunblock, hand sanitizer, a second digital camera, benadryl and an epi-pen, wallets/ID, and a change of clothes for each of them.

Uff da. Your friend stored her Epi-pen in a somewhat remote locker? Goodness, it's like she was begging for a Darwin Awards nomination. That's "suicide by wasp/peanut/strawberry".

You don't have to have your tickets before you reserve a locker. You just have to possess a 3-day pass when the time comes to walk up and put stuff in your locker, mostly because the lockers are inside the gates. No ticket? No locker.

Not sure why anyone would want to rent a locker for a festival they're not attending, but sometimes disclaimers are silly like that.
