I Saw Grizzly Bear's Concert Last Night

At the 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis, a complete hole-in-the-wall with a capacity of about 250. Openers were Portastatic and The Dirty Projectors. Both very good.

Grizzly Bear got on stage at around 11:30 and performed for about an hour. Set list was as follows:

Show
Lull
Knife
Little Brother
Colorado
Shift
He Hit Me (cover of The Crystals)
Fix It
On a Neck, On a Plain

They were very good, relatively straight forward performances. After the show, they headed over to their merch booth. We talked about Coachella for a while. They told me they didn't know what stage they were playing yet.

I'd recommend seeing them at Coachella, although I probably won't because I'll try to see someone new.

I saw them tonight. They really bend their songs around. It was awesome to hear how they changed them up and how they've worked out new ideas in them. I also loved the Crystals cover. I'll be seeing them again tomorrow (technically, today) at noon at UCLA. It's supposed to be a closed show, but i'm running it, so if you show up, Luckyface, and tell me who you are, i'll probably let you in.

the correct song names are "lullabye" and "on a neck, on a spit." good to hear they put on a decent show. i refuse to miss them. I'm steaming mad I can't go see them at the troubadour.
