Anyone know whatever become of this 4AD band called The Clan Of Xymox? I always liked them...like a poor man's Joy Division, sort of. Another band that would be cool at Coachella.........

With Coachella being April 17-18-19, it could be do-able, then fly back for the Poland show on the 25th. Wonder if they've been approached?

I don't think they would be much of a draw at Coachella.. too bad. I would rather see them at a club anyway and they still tour N. America

Oh, I don't know. I think I'd beg to differ. I think they'd draw just fine at Coachella, definately in one of the tents. If nothing else, young hipsters would check them out based on curiousity factor and us "old school" folk would check them out because we missed them the first time 'round in the late seventies/early eighties!

I don't think so either, most people(pretty much everyone but like 2) I've ever mentioned them to have had absolutely no idea what I was talking about...

Filigree and Shadow is also a must hear. it is actually my very favorite TMC recording. Xmal Deutschland is a big favorite of mine too.

I saw them play Scream in LA circa 1987. They're definitely better suited to a dark club rather than an outdoor festival. Poor things would probably melt into puddles of PVC at Coachella.

Hmmm, I never thought of them as being that dark, but maybe I never heard their early albums. They were pretty poppy in the late 80's/early 90's. I've got this album on cassette...

I'll check out their early stuff.

    I love Xmal Deutschland.

I saw Clan Of Xymox back in the late 90s when they were trying to be really goth again. They were good, not great. I haven't heard anything new from them in 10 years I bet.
