Saturday Boring Saturday

I like all types of music, except bluegrass and Deadhead shit, so I'm a bit surprised at how lame Saturday's lineup looks to me.

The only three acts that look interesting are The Nightwatchman (only because of Morello), Ghostface Killah and Travis. And maybe The Arcade Fire, even though I think their new album is terrible.

You'd have to pay me to see the rest of those bands on the list. I'm hoping I can find something new and interesting among the smaller groups at the bottom of the list. I've heard The Frames are OK, and I'm curious to see Sparklehorse.

Hopefully, some of those DJs will be good, maybe hang out in the dance tents all night

not too impressed either. any day at coachella's probably a fun time, but i'm going on vacation to california, mostly for rage and there's no way i would spend a vacation day 3000 miles away from home for the line-up on saturday. i'll be at six flags riding coasters.

Kings Of Leon are crap, I've seen them before. I like Ghostface, I said that earlier, open your fucking eyes. Ozomatli is OK, Fratellis, Black Keys... meh.

The Rapture, maybe, Hot Chip. Don't know much about the rest, so hoping for some nice surprises.

Good question. I never saw Wu, so this is just a small compensation, I guess. Maybe I'll just get stoned and ride those bike things all day.

you say problem, i say opinionated. I'm entitled to my opinion. Been to Coachella about 5 years ago, great venue, great times, loved it. Not in love with saturday's line-up, such is such.

On the contrary, I love all sorts of music, I'm not an elitist at all. There are certain acts I don't like, however, and most of them happen to be playing that Saturday. Why are you getting your blood pressure up over it? What do you care?

The Nightwatchman doesn't play anything like bluegrass. What a stupid comparison. You don't even know what you're whining about.

I personally think that Saturday has the strongest line-up overall, especially on the dance music side. From Justice to the Arcade Fire - holy crow. One question though - what in the name of all things holy is Fountains of Wayne doing on this bill? Did somebody at Goldenvoice lose a bet or something? Sheesh.

Yes, you don't like Saturday, good for you. That just means, that by your bland taste, Saturday is weak. Personally, it's by far my favorite day, with 21 bands I want to see...Girl Talk, Pop Levi, Fratellis, Andrew Bird, The Cribs, Hot Chip, !!!, The Rapture, The Decemberists, The New Pornographers, Kings Of Leon, Travis, Arcade Fire, Blonde Redhead, LCD Soundsystem, Regina Spektor, The Black Keys, Peter Bjorn and John, Ghostface, Sparklehorse, and The Good, The Bad, and the Queen.

Now, as you can perhaps tell, my taste veers toward indie pop and brit rock. For me, then, sunday is the weakest day - nearly all the best acts are electronica or hip hop artists, which are genres I like but don't love. And I couldn't care less about Rage. But that doesn't mean I need to start five different threads on how Sunday is boring. I know to others it may be the best day. Grow up and stop wasting everyone's time.
