Dre Day is actually on the 18th but if it just straight replaced Valentine's day this year I'd be 100% cool with that.

Welcome to the brand spanking new dredayparty.com. Twin Cities people already know the drill as we are getting ready for Dre Day VII! That’s right, this will be our seventh year celebrating Andre Young and his creative contributions to the world we live in. It only took a few years for heads outside of Minnesota to start getting in on the action. This year, there will be Dre Day events popping of in New York City, Austin TX, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver… It’s actually a whole Canadian tour! So in order to keep track of all the Dre-hem (heh.), we put this lil blog together for everyone that’s throwing a party to post up their party progress. Want to throw your own Dre Day party? We’ll have a bunch of helpful info like $20 sack pyramid tips and chronic recipies to help you hit the ground running with your own party planning. That’s it for the moment. Kinda late but, did anyone go last night? I read this has really expanded in the past couple years, and they have one in almost every major city. Ours is tonight at one of my favorite bars, unfortunately I've been really sick for the past two days. I haven't gone in the past couple years, because it's just been djs spinning classics, but this year a pretty good local hip-hop group (Heiruspecs) is going to do a set of old school NWA and G Funk hits "with special guests". I'm holding out for P.O.S. or any of the Doomtree crew
