Basic Photo, Day 1, University of Anywhere, from instructor's opening comments:
"...okay so we are now going to go over some ground rules. Since you are here, in a college classroom, I am going to assume that you are all very intelligent and can tell the difference between interesting subject matter and the horrendously asinine or cliche. That being said, let me make it clear that at no point, for any reason, is it ever acceptable to photograph any of the following subjects:
- Sunsets
- Your doggie / your kitty
- Pretty flowers
- Long night exposures that cause cars' headlights / taillights to leave a streak
- and for fuck's sake, the homeless
We will add to this list throughout the semester as you geniuses continue to flabbergast me with images that you think are 'pretty', 'a cool effect', or somehow demonstrate your keen social-consciousness.
Just remember, whatever it is you shoot, you are like totally the first person to ever think of photographing ________!"
please stop encouraging delinquency
As I was getting ready for work, the moon was setting. I managed to get this shot off

yep! these pics are great, I liked your downtown skyline at night too.
I went to school for for photography, but ran out of money, so I never finished.
So I guess it's a hobby
