What I learned from last year

Headliners, do not a Coachella make. I, like most, was saddened by the news that Jack Johnson was headlining my beloved desert party. Over saddened. I realized a couple of things after the festival:

1) I needed to get a life.

and

2) They know what they are doing at Goldenvoice.Seriously. I spent so much energy whining about the lineup, and of the four Coachellas I have been to, I had the most fun, by FAR at last year's gig.

I see that the Hold Steady is confirmed...that is golden to me. This year will be the best time yet...

all you have to do is go back to the early posters and see what bands were at the bottom of each lineup. and see where those bands are now. I have utter faith in Goldenvoice. They are tastemakers.

and the jack johnson crap was actually a good thing...otherwise i would've had to choose between The Verve and Fatboy. That would have been HARD. JJ and Fatboy was VERY EASY. Fatboy all the way!!!

poop at the grocery store in the morning. stay away from the port-o-potties on sunday. breakfast burritos are a great colon cleanser in the morning. dont lose your shoes and if you do make sure its on the last day. meet as many people as possible. bring as much water in as possible. its better to take a chance on a new band than to watch one you already know from 6 miles away. dont whiz on the electric fence.

headliner's really aren't everything but when you see "HEADLINER" they should be able to carry the weight of the festival on their shoulders.

But last year was so much more fun than '07 for me

AAAAND thank you, last year was my first year and my brother who has gone the last few years told me his horror story of the nightmare couple camping next to him the year before and then i went through the same thing last year having to listen to some bitch ask her bf 100 times if he brushed his teeth yet first thing in the morning.
