Truthfully, I slept on all these albums. I just picked up the deluxe addition of When Life Gives You Lemons... this weekend. The album is fantastic with my favorite trak being Guarantees. I am listening to Johnson & Jonson right now because of the album cover art. I think this is a pretty good list, I have a lot more to check out. Holla…if you’ve been jamming any of these records and let us know if they are any good. Thanks.

I didn't like the Jean Grae, Atmosphere, NERD, Roots, or Immortal Technique albums. Although there were a few good tracks here and there with Atmosphere and Immortal Technique. The Q-Tip was disappointing, but still had some great moments and is worth listening to.

    Not familiar with the others.

Sleeping on CDs - or records - doesn't sound very comfortable.

I didn't sleep on this one. Got it during the summer, it's awesome. Was on my top albums of the year list too. Saw her live last year too.

Yeah I'm gonna cop that when I get home, I just listened to a couple of her songs and I really like them, plus it's like a concept album about space and shit right? Hell yeah.

I didn't sleep on these. Not even close to Atmosphere's best output, Black Milk was solid though a bit generic sounding, not even close to J-Live's best, good Murs album, enjoyable NERD album, surprisingly good Q-Tip, terrible Immortal Technique album, and decent but forgettable album from the Roots.

Yeah, if you can find it check out the real video for that song, it carries the space theme. It used to be on imeem, but I can't find it now.

Hey, so what albums would you recommend over these by Atmosphere and J-Live?

for atmosphere, i prefer "god loves ugly"
j-live's "the best part" is much better, too.
