i'm surprised no one has really thrown out the possibility of a Bush reunion @ coachella 2009. not that everyone is exactly clamoring for it, i realize, but gavin did say last year that they'd be back in 2009 (per wikipedia, tho..), and he doesn't have any solo dates that i know of that would interfere. if they played, i'd check 'em out. their last album was a dud, but 16stone is still one of my all time faves..

Ha, I think it was right around then - I remember them playing at some big festival in DC not too long before he was elected. Hmm... yet another thing to blame him for just because we can. I doubt they'd show up to Coachella though, I doubt enough people would be interested.

If you take 16 stone for what it is (a british corporate-rock fascimile of the seattle grunge scene), it does have some really, really classic songs on it.

Bush was NOT a good band though - they just lucked out with their first release. Did the band even write it? The later albums were uniformly terrible.

Definitely not Coachella material. File them along with Silverchair.

Razorblade Suitcase is a good album too. Minus Swallowed. That song is just awful.

The Science of Things mostly sucks. Golden State is okay.

Gavin Rossdale has turned into a pussy (see: his solo album). I can't see Bush reuniting because of that fact, but it would surely be the best thing for Nigel and the other two members (dave? robin?) of the band. I haven't heard of any of them doing anything since the 'break-up"

Not sure why people hate them so much. If they played it would be ONE band out of ~150. I'd rather have them there than quite a few of the other bands people have mentioned.

Jebus, I hate it when people diss Silverchair. Yeah, the music they wrote when they were 14 was nothing to write home about, although it was cool at the time. But listen to their last two albums, they are no longer corporate post-grunge trash. People need to understand this. They would be a great band for Coachella. Do I have to make a Silverchair thread and post YouTube videos?

i agree, but their 2nd album had a good song or two, Cold Contagious & Greedy Fly come to mind, Swallowed was alright...

i'd only see them doing Coachella if No Doubt played though...
