Question for you LA people. What is the best way to go about getting tickets for a Laker game? They are playing the jazz on Friday. They don't have to be good seats or anything, but I am just wondering if the box office, stub hub, Craigslist or scalpers outside the venue are my best bet?

With how they're playing I imagine it's easier to get Lakers tickets than it has been in about a decade. They are never cheap. I'd say check StubHub to see the price range offered there, then see if you can get a better deal by going thru what vigo posted or even Ticketmaster. StubHub has always been the resource I used.

There are 3 stacks of luxury suites( rediculous, I know) so if you can, try and get below them.

I still have my Lakers Season seats in 217. Even with their performance, demand for games I don't go to has been higher this year than the last few years.

The two safest ways to buy Lakers tix is thru Ticketexchange, where season seats are reissued to buyers, or Stubhub. Agencies are good too, just usually higher priced. CL may be good, just not as efficient. I wouldn't worry too much about fraud because the penalties on the season seat holders are pretty bad if a barcode is scanned more than once.

Also, for controller, Ron Galperin is the smarter choice, Dennis Zine is a stupid hack, and a womanizer. For the marijuana propositions, vote YES on Prop F as it does not limit how many dispensaries can be open, while Props D and E limit the amount (so No on D and E).

That's interesting. I don't usually think of Walmart as opening stores in the urban core of metropolitan areas -- they are usually in the outskirts, suburbs, strip malls, etc.

I'm not a Wal-Mart fan, but there seems to be no reasoning behind the opposition. Are they worried that it will take business away from the local markets and stores?

That is exactly the reason. It's a historic business core full of small family shops, and the (very real) concern is that opening a Wal-Mart will detract from these organizations. Plus, do they need reasoning? It's Wal-Mart, one of the most offensively destructive megacorporations in terms of wages, labor law violations, undercutting, destroying small town businesses and general douchebaggery. Anyone who likes where they live would be wise to protest the opening of a Wal-Mart

The article I posted had links to several other articles on the subject - my hope was that should you be interested in what was happening you would follow up on your own by clicking through. It's been a thing that has been going on for several months now and there are intriguing arguments on each side. I just didn't feel like writing it all up myself and provided the latest piece of the puzzle.
