    Default Killers news from Pitchfork

Forgive me if this is old, but here is a snippet of surrounding tour dates:

04-05 Perth, Australia - Claremont Showgrounds
04-16 Phoenix, AZ - Dodge Theatre
04-17 Las Vegas, NV - The Joint
04-19 San Jose, CA - San Jose Event Center
04-22 Seattle, WA - Wamu Theatre at Qwest Field Events Center
04-23 Victoria, British Columbia - Save on Foods Memorial Centre
04-24 Vancouver, British Columbia - UBC Thunderbird Arena

So they have, logically, one day with which to possibly suck ass at Coachella.

The Killers are gonna be great at Coachella this year! While I'm watching someone else on another stage...

The Killers will probably be a co-headliner with someone else like Kraftwerk and Portishead before Prince was added.

Seriously, I'd be shocked if they even co-headlined. Sub at best!

I could see The Killers headlining Saturday... but I would say chances are pretty good they don't.

I think Jack Johnson's headlining last year is the main thing that has given way to this Killers headlining business. I still maintain that Jack Johnson made WAY more sense. Paul T. even said on the broadcast that "He's the perfect headliner if you think about it", meaning he fits the vibe, he appeals to the masses, etc...

The Killers on the other hand are 10x more alienating to the Coachella audience than Jack Johnson was.

I can accept them sub-ing.. headlining or co-headlining is out of the question.

    EDIT:
I think I'm continuing to talk about this only because we keep throwing their name around. Its ridiculous/hilarious that there are so many killers threads on this board right now.

there isn't much different between subheadlining and co-headling. Either way, the Killers will be playing before whoever the Saturday headliner is.

That's true. As far as I'm concerned Arcade Fire headlined in 07.

I just want a pretty poster.

I think one of the reasons the lineup is taking so long is they are trying to find someone to headline Saturday, or at least share top billing with the Killers.

    $5 says the White Stripes.
7/26 Au Revoir Simone @ The Roxy, 8/1 Arcade Fire, the Unicorns, Dan Deacon at the Forum, 8/2 Burger a-Go-Go, @ Observatory, 8/9 Warpaint @ Observatory, 8/10 Warpaint @ The Ace, 8/23-24 FYF Fest, 9/11 Swans @ Roxy, 9/18 Neutral Milk Hotel @ Hollywood Bowl, 9/19 Chvrches @ Palladium, 9/30 Cibo Matto @ the Roxy, 10/9 Zola Jesus @ El Rey, 10/16 Massive Attack @ Greek Theater, 10/26 Asobi Seksu & Slowdive @ Royale

I don't see White Stripes happening. I mean, it would be FANTASTIC.. but.. I still don't get why they're rumored. Is there something I don't know?

The killers 2009 live act will be gayer than anything Boy George does in jail for the next 15 months
