Sell Out??

I am planning on heading to Coachella from australia this year and was wondering how long 3 day passes have taken to sell out in previous years? If at all...

The first time 3-day passes sold out was 2 years ago in 2007, due to RATM. It was also the first year they sold 3-day passes since the festival used to cover only 2 days.

It sold out within 2 weeks.

That was the first year that I went and it certainly did not sell out in 2 weeks. Maybe the single day passes did but that may have been quicker for two of the days. I didn't even think I could go until well after tickets were on sale that year. Being the 10th anniversary though tickets might go faster this year, I guess that depends on the line-up though and nothing that will sell as many tickets as RATM getting back together has been talked about.

Oop, yeah my bad. The single-day passes sold out in 2 weeks not the 3-day passes. I mixed the two because people were paying ridiculous prices for a single day pass on eBay when they could've just used it to pay for one 3-day pass.

if the crowds get bigger and bigger each year its impossible for them to have a limited amount of tickets

No, the single day passes for Rage sold out that same day, and the 3 day passes sold out (the first time anyway) within 2-3 weeks. I know because I waited a week or so before buying, and I was on pins and needles the entire time.

We had to drive to pomona to buy them from the glass house. It was a wild year. Eventually they had some 3-day passes hidden, and put them on sale a couple of weeks before the festival.

Get your tickets right away. All the ticket agencies will hoard everything and sell the tickets for outrageous prices! Trust me. Stub Hub is lame and they will most likely get a huge block.

they always seem to do this at the glass house. in 07 when camping and passes were sold out for like a month they were still selling them at the glasshouse. i dont even worry about it anymore if it sells out as there should be tickets out in pomona...

I would stake $10 on it not selling out completely ie. 100% capacity all three days. But you never know...original Led Zep, David Bowie and Radiohead might just do it.

last year camping didn't sell out, but in prior years, usually sold out 4-6 weeks before the fest
